I don't think in the past 10 or 12 years we've had a squad so utterly devoid of quality like Uniteds is at the moment
Maybe ETH will end up getting more out of some of their younger players like Rashford, Martinez and Elanga but at the moment they look as far from winning a title as either of us has in my lifetime

That’s basically it, players too lazy or disinterested to do what they’re handsomely paid for, it’s the lack of effort that stinks
Why don't your players want to work for each other on the pitch? To me I think that shows there are "cliques" at the club...some players don't get on etc.
I doubt u will improve until a few players are moved out...don't know who btw.

Agree. The whole squad looks good.
Too many egos the dressing room if you ask me.
Even the 8-2 was at least against a title challenging team. I can't think of any as bad as utd's at the weekend.
Cech had a few moments like De Gea when he was with us.

We were dreadful that day but utd had a one in a million game where every shot went in. Rarely does that ever happen. It’s definitely our worst score line but so many more worse performances are above it for sure.
We were pretty awful for the first 3 games last season funnily enough
Think the quality of sides below the usual top ones is a bit better than the past. Financially they're now comparable or in a better position than pretty much any club outside the Prem bar a very select few
United seem facked though, they need massive clear out. Worse than that their signings and rumoured targets don't exactly seem great

The manager had them in on their day off yesterday to cover the deficit in terms of yards covered, relative to Brentford. I'm hoping having to give up their Sundays off will maybe convince the players to put the yards in on game day, when it matters. But whether they will or not remains to be seen
I "think" you have pro greenwood players, those that stick by him I mean. ..and those that are disgusted by his behaviour; on top of that i think you have some players who want out but are not allowed to, and I think your squad is fractured so much nobody runs for anyone else.
You need a massive manager in there to sort it out. For me Ronaldo needs to go; it's not he's done anything wrong it's just he is too much of a "figure". Next it sounds weird but you need a big fkn shouting match with the whole squad, anything goes everything out in the open then you will see the "real" problems....from that some will have to leave, then the healing can begin.
You can then start a "team"...all pulling together. You may have to sit mid table for a season but once all the sht been sorted u have enough resources to buy exactly what u need. Slow process but u need a step or 2 back to move forward.
Ps...hope you don't do this btw, please carry on as u are

We’ve all had our ups and downs as teams but the least we expect is players to match the work rate of the other team and show some pride in the badge, the lack of application at times against Brentford was sickening and well below what the team should be capable of.
If you support another team there is the fun side to watch it but at the same time the disrespect for the fans isn’t funny because to each of us our club means something but nothing to these mercenaries in their wrapped Lambos and Bentleys it’s just a big high paying joke as they sit out their contracts.

Didn’t we play a pretty weak team in that 8-2? Had a couple young players starting and think Jenkinson got sent off. Obviously it was a horrendous result, but there were some un ideal factors for us at play other than just us being awful

Traore started a day before joining QPR. Jenko at right back. Le Coq made his debut in midfield.
The 6-1 was a worst performance, with Igors, Gilles and Oleg in a back 4. But we did have Vieira, Parlour, Pires, Cole, Wiltord, Henry all starting.
Yeah I feel like we had worse than the 8-2. We had results that felt more reflective of the mess we were in as a whole I think. The 8-2 felt more like a freak result, we had a weaker squad and Man U were great that season. We also went on to finish 3rd. If we’d have ended a lot lower that result may have stuck out more in my head

Why don't your players want to work for each other on the pitch? To me I think that shows there are "cliques" at the club...some players don't get on etc.
I doubt u will improve until a few players are moved out...don't know who btw.
