Why do you mention ‘men’?

A fearsome fighting force means that their military - and hardware specially - is miles better than any other military and if they really wanted to go balls deep in a conflict they don’t have any peers. It’s improved a huge amount since the Korea and Vietnam days as it should after the insane amount of money spent on it.

I mention ‘men’ because of the term you used. It’s only their hardware that is generally superior to everyone else and obviously the amount of troops at their disposal. But the term ‘fearsome fighting force’ is a term traditionally used to describe the actual soldiers. And there are shed loads of armies throughout the world that are more fearsome than the US.

I didn’t use the term ‘men’ though. I used ‘fearsome fighting force’ and that refers to the hardware they have where they can drop a laser guided missile onto anyones head from hundreds of miles away and their navy means they pretty much rule the world right now. There has been no military in history that can do what they do so it is pretty unmatched.

I’m really not. ‘Fearsome fighting force’ could mean various things. It could mean a bunch of muscular men on horseback with swords or it could mean a hugely expensive military where the aggressor has hundreds of apache helicopters and drones
