We should have gone all in for Andrea Belotti.

Wolves fans. If you lose the next 2 should Bruno Lage be under pressure? When people discuss the next manager to he's rarely in the conversation but he's been pretty underwhelming.

Definitely under pressure already. 4 wins in 20, 1 in 13. Fosun have invested heavily so won't waste too long hoping he gets it right. Not sure the next two should be the clincher though, but over the next month we have to see points coming in.
I actually think Guedes did a half decent job when he replaced Kalajdzic. Once he gets fully in his stride he's going to be an important player for us.

Reading this I would have thought there is a good chance of a successful appeal.
Work permit turned down because of his recent lack of work, but a good reason for that, not having had a club.
I guess the thing that could scupper it is the principle that allowing him a work permit is effectively denying an out of work UK national an opportunity to work. Whether that would apply when the available home grown possible candidates are the multi millionaires Daniel Sturridge and Andy Carroll I'm not sure.
I still hope we get Costa but it is pretty damning that a matter of days after a three month window we are making panic signings isn't it.
We are only in this position because the centre forward we signed had a major injury in the first half of his debut. Don’t see anything damning about that, just gross misfortune
But surely the thinking with two fit first choices was that Campbell(?) would be the go to if any injuries, but yet with an injury we have gone straight to making an emergency signing.
Don't get me wrong, much happier with us going for Costa as opposed to relying on a kid, just seems an odd strategy.
Gross incompetence more like DJ.
We signed a player with a six inch scar above his right knee and a four inch scar above his left knee, a player that has a terrible injury record and threw him in at the deep end with no time to get up to speed.
We left it until the last minute to sign him instead of getting our transfer business done in a timely manner, and giving the lad some pre season.
Let’s hope we can get Costa cleared to play as we really need him.
I can understand that Campbell would be there as cover for the eventuality that one of our 2 strikers had some sort of "normal" injury. However, to have Jimenez out for a short term and now Sasa out for months, I'd be worried if they didn't do what they could, as limited as it is, to plug the gap. Think Costa would have done that.
Perhaps the plan all along was to have a third option and Costa has been planned for a while.

But will throw him in at the deep end with no pre-season and no games or training for months. Expect him to go down with a torn hamstring within 30 minutes.
To be fair Kalajdzic had played a few games in Germany this season.

No chance. Costa is hard as nails. He’s missed about three matches in the last ten years.
Sasa has been out injured for nearly 600 days in the last four years
England's women rounded off their group qualification for their WC today.

Any sightings of Costa in Asda this morning?
There are agents watching out for him in the raw meat section

Completely agree.
Disgraceful incompetence when our greatest need is a decent striker to go for one with his injury record.
Tuchel anyone? No, nor me.
Mauricio Pochettino rumoured?
