He slipped for that chance.
He is a shoe-in starter. Who would you replace him with?
He's brilliant, has that x-factor that not many players at his age have. Didn't have one of his best games today but he's still one of the first name's on the team sheet.
WTF are you on about. He’s in the best form of his career
You're overreacting and want something to complain about.
He got 3 goals so far this season, one behind Jesus, how is he not scoring enough?
Some people thought arteta hated him. now it seems to be the fans who hate him
I do agree with a lot of the points listed, especially with not passing sooner and taking too much time on the ball.
However, what's the alternative?
He’s still young and gonna go through patches, he’s not like Son where he needed to be dropped to kick him up the backside as he’s experienced and old enough
He has a 2 week rest now. No need to drop him, just work on him in training.
Could be key that there are a few players not going on international duty, could give us a head start after the break.
Weird article, Martinelli is performing well. If it wasn't for the refs cheating us out of a perfectly good goal at old trafford, he would have been praised for winning us that game.
Martinelli is super talented but I see what the OP is saying. But I think it’s a harsh take given how little football he’s played due to serious injuries in the past etc. he’s also very young and once it all clicks he’ll be one of the best in the world.
In answer to your question "am I being too harsh?" The answer is yes.
Martinelli has been great this season. Fack me, when a player hasn't been at least an 8 out of 10 in a game, some people really like to say "not good enough, drop him, replace him with X". We've just bossed a game 3-0 so we can't moan about everything so let's find something to moan about.
The fact that Smith Rowe (even when fit) isn't in the conversation to start over him speaks volumes about how good he's become. He wasn't at his best today but fack me that doesn't mean he needs to be dropped.
He's 21. Name me a player who was the finished article at that age.

Exactly this. Its the same with Saka as well. I don't know whether people are expecting these guys to be peak Salah and Mane or something. However its worth noting that they have 45 goals for Arsenal between them having just turned 21.
But hey, Saka looks tired and Martinelli dribbles for a bit too long. Don't sign them up, pay them to leave the club!
