I see that the red card issued after VAR in the villa game (Gerrards last) has been rescinded. What a joke, never thought it was a red card in the first place.

*Would not have made any difference to Gerrard's failing as a manager, but it certainly made a difference that game

THE officials for this weekend's Premiership fixtures have been confirmed.

The referees and VARs have been assigned to each match on Saturday and Sunday.

Rangers host Aberdeen on Saturday, while Celtic face an away trip to Livingston on Sunday.

VAR made its debut in domestic Scottish fixtures last weekend.

There were several talking points and controversial calls from the use, or lack of use, from the technology.

This weekend will no doubt prove to be of a similar ilk.

Steven McLean will be the man in the middle at Ibrox, with Nick Walsh on VAR duty and John McCrossan assisting. This will be a swap in roles for the officials from last Saturday's Hearts vs Celtic fixture.

Willie Collum will be in charge of Celtic's trip to West Lothian. Alan Muir will be the main VAR, with Frank Connor assisting.

Andrew Dallas will be on VAR with Gary Hilland for Ross County vs Hearts, with David Dickinson the referee.

Hibs take on St Mirren on Saturday with Greg Aitken and David Roome on VAR, while Don Robertson takes charge at Easter Road.

David Munro and Alan Mulvanny are the VARs for Dundee United vs Motherwell with John Beaton officiating at Tannadice.

Finally, Euan Anderson is the VAR as St Johnstone take on Kilmarnock with Gary Hilland assisting also. Craig Napier will take charge on the pitch.

All the talk on the BBC website about how Celtic are doing all the right things in attack but just cant find the net

Talking about how many chances they have created, how good they were against Real...Ange talking about how he wont change his setup, and that he would rather be in a situation where Celtic are creating chances, rather than struggling to create them.

All good and well....but finally Pat Bonner starts talking a bit of sense and states the obvious.

We all know Celtic will create chances, but they may well lose a goal at a critical time because of the way they setup

Absolutely spot on sir...and seeing that very attacking lineup, for me his point is even more relevant.
