It's a Jekyll and Hyde (or even Exorcist) thing. When your daughter becomes a teenager she stops being "Daddy's Little Girl" and forms an unholy alliance with her mother to criticise your every word and action. They change back again when they go away to university or college and want financial assistance.
I think our top brass actually think firpo is good.
I read when he signed he can play at LB but hes right footed so its a case of making do with a player out of position again!
Struijk has been a better left back than kristensen has been a right back.
So you are downgrading your left back to drop cooper.
That makes zero sense to me

Compared to James he was a snip 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was half watching the Burnley match last night, noticed that Taylor came on towards the end of the game, not sure who he came on for, think it was to sure up the defence.
Looked at their fixtures, Charlie plays CB mostly alongside Vitinho (a right back playing at left back). Vitinho and Maatsen (20 year old on loan from Chelsea) are their go to left backs.
Not sure Taylor would sign for us now as we are in decline and Burnley are on the up but we should have done something there in the summer.
Burnley have three possible left backs for their first team and we have Firpo, only left back at the club across all age groups.
We should have signed a CB in the summer tbf. Genuinely don't rate any of our CB's. Struijk I like but is a bit soft/nice imo. Cresswell doesn't even start for Millwall so don't think he's the answer either. Need a left back asap in Jan, just pay it if they're any good. Relegation is more expensive......

I'm guessing Elliott would disagree.
If he can play left back, then he will probably be a good option against Salah who loves to cut in.
My line up v Liverpool, it's a bus parking job!
Meslier
Drameh-Koch-Cooper-Kristensen
Ayling-Llorente-Adams-Struijk
Big space with the 2 forwards staying on the half way line and doing minimal or no closing down awaiting to be sprung with a long hopeful ball.
Sinisterra-Harrison
Steross, you forgot Rocca so that would leave just Sinisterra up top.
I would love to see Klopps face at that line up.
That isn't parking a bus, that's parking 3 buses! 😂
Let's face it, we have blind spots for several
players in our squad based on what Marcelo did
with them (which was incredible).
We have a mix of aging/injury prone
Championship players who, if not for being at
Leeds United would not be anywhere near
the Prem. Or at least, this'll be their final
Prem season:
Cooper
Ayling
Bamford
Klich
Dallas
Forshaw
A slew of god awful signings:
Llorente
James
Firpo
Rodrigo (who I like, but we signed despite
the fact he didn't fit Marcelo's system.
And he doesn't really fit Marsch's either
and cost a fortune)
Then we have holdover signings from
Marcelo's time that are clearly assets in:
Jack
Meslier
Struijk
Not a strong base to add players to when you
factor in Marsch's 'pen_s ball' style and its
lack of width. So, when Orta goes after every
winger on the planet, it makes little sense.
Mainly in hindsight watching it play out.
I like the new signings brought in for Jesse.
Given time, I believe they'll be good for us.
Whether Jesse's here or not. However,
I remember Jesse saying in the summer when
his signings were in, that we still needed a LB
and two strikers (not one, two).
Obviously, Orta and the club got ahead of that.
And a few days later Marsch said we were set
with our two existing full internationals and the
phenomenal Firpo. That put pressure on the
squad beyond what was already there.
Now we see the shortfalls. Left back is crucial.
And I agree with Shaun, that is a MUST in January.
I also think Marsch needs to stick by Raz. He
was improving every game. Then he benched
him for Ayling (who I like but he's gone next
season - or should be). Get the LB in, and we
can move Struijk to CB alongside Koch. Get time
and chemistry working between them and Mes.
And hope that keeps us up.
Saying that, we still need to find someone who
can take the chances we create. Because we do.
