He wins more headers than Harry Kane.

He is sh!t though. Would prefer to start Gil on Sunday.

Can he score a weak foot hattrick in a Champions League semi-final

Yes he can.

Short facking memories some of you lot.

Happy to call our players shiii!!t etc

Yes he aint the best but as a squad player he can do a job. He's just returning from injury.

Compare him to the 5th choice attacker for United or Liverpool or Chelsea and you will see that none of them have any world beaters. This isnt fantasy league. A bit-part 5th choice attacker is never going to be a world beater....If the OP doesn't understand this he/she/they/them doesnt understand football.

Champions League legend.

Still, give Gill a go.

Moura is really only getting game time because of injuries to Kulu and Richarlison. He is not really offering much, but there is no other attacking player to bring in other than Gil at the moment, and with Son now injured, Conte does not have much choice but to keep picking him.

what has happened to our youth set up, not seeing any coming through this season, although i know this is not a Conte thing

Stupid memories Some of the best I have in my living Spurs memory .

I just have a dislike of "fans" showing no respect to some of our players. Lucas is what he is. He is not world class but nor is he shiiit, he is a good honest player who gives 100%

He's like one of those hyped up English wingers now who look like they have a lot of ability but deliver very little, like Walcott or sadly Lennon. Still appreciate some of the contributions he's made to Spurs but 'headless chicken' springs to mind when you see him play.

He’s become a bit like Demarai Gray actually.

It's worth remembering that he's mentally checked out. I think he was all lined up for a return to Brazil but because we wanted the 25m for Bergwijn, he had to stay unless we got a replacement. We didn't so he was stuck with us. Imagine working somewhere where neither yourselves nor your bosses really wanted you to be there? It's not easy being the 'just in case' player.

should have been sold after the cl final when apparently some arabic club or summin would have spent silly money on him

not selling players at the right time coming to bite us again. probably lose him for free next summer now with no real input from him this season.

however him stepping up until the world cup could be really welcome right now

Same thing with the English connection. It's not how it used to be with Brazilian players where they used to have flair and skill that separated them from players you see over here. You still get that with some, but majority just look like your average English PL player.

You could have been forgiven for thinking he was worth keeping at that point after coming off his best season and doing that in a CL SF. Gone backwards ever since.

2 goals in his last 40 PL appearances...it's time to say goodbye.

I dunno, I think you underestimate how many average Brazilians there’s been, they’ve had by far the most given the quantity of Brazilian players that come to Europe. And how they’ve tended to look that way in their later years for even top players.

It might be just an age thing and not being into football as much back when I was kid. The names around then that come to mind are Juninho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Romario, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho...all players you associate with giving you these wow moments. I'm sure there have always been very average Brazilian players but certainly when you look at the international team these days, it does strike me that they have less flair and skilful players than they used to. Nobody there that makes you go 'wow' anymore.

But they are among the gratest Brazilians of all time, apart from Juninho, who did make 49 apps for Brazil.

Average Brazilian players over the years, and average English players over the last decade or so, are much a muchness.

Neymar’s every bit as skilful as the legends of the Brazilian game. Players like Antony, Raphinha, Vinicius Jr, Gabriel Jesus all have plenty of skill and flair.

I do think Brazilian football has had a change in focus a bit over the years towards athleticism and tactical awareness, like most of football, but the technical level of European football overall has improved quite a lot compared to 20 years ago - so maybe that’s why the average Brazilian plays don’t stand out as much.

As the chair of the ‘I hate Lucas Moura fan club’ I’d like to be contrary and say that I thought he looked/looks really good at RWB
