Imagine if this goes to 120 mins/pens. We will need the u16s on standby for the fa cup game midweek.

The attack is not good enough and the lack of pace will push us back. The only way we could have done something is if we played Gomez and pushed Bradley forward to overlap.

I think Klopp’s got his eye on the bigger picture. Sure it’s a final, but there are bigger fish to fry and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 3 or 4 big names back over the next week.

I want a good rest defence when Chelsea counter attack. It made us more defensively sound with Gomez on the left. Three CBs who can defend instead of two. Arsenal, City and other top teams in Europe have been successful with it.

I agree it has looked good with Gomez on the left. However with so many players missing, we need a bit of pace down the sides, which is probably why Gomez is not selected.

That is a yellow
