No Idea Germany. FA Cup means more I think than the League cup."
I think it was the 80's I think ManU fielded a weaker team because they wanted their better players for European games and the authorities were not happy, so they brought in a ruling saying all clubs have to play a fixed number of their first team!..
I'm not to sure how many but if I'm correct it is a ruling to stop clubs fielding weakened teams and belittling the FA Cup!..

I think the FA Cup has always been the more important one.
However, Man U devalued it massively when they pulled out of entering in 1999 I think. To play in the World Club Championship.
The League Cup has always been the poor neighbour really.
Stoopo, that might be the one I'm thinking off, but I'm so far behind my Brain has with the date hid it in the never to be found again bin!..
I had ManU in my head and I Knew it upset the FA Cup people, there was a lot off trouble and I think the rules were changed to stop clubs playing weakened teams!..
Do the same with the League Cup and it might bring a little more respect to that competition!..
