Always retire when you're at the top, or just past it.
Doing what Ronnie is doing spoils his legacy.

Did he really not celebrate with his teammates?
Disgraceful if true.

His ego just won’t let him admit it to himself

It’s that ego that made him great though but you are right

He needs to wind down in a shat league now

From what I saw he was on the pitch shaking hands with his teammates and applauding the fans.

He did leave the pitch before everyone else

He doesnt see it that way. He will play till he is at least 40 or he scores a 1000 goals. Whichever comes first.

No way he gets to 100. He has another 180 to go.

From what I understand , the Saudi league is actually pretty decent so most likely it will not be a walk in the park for him there either.
€173 million a year though good for him

Every little thing gonna be highlighted.
Both things can be right.
We did see him celebrate with the team, he did go before everyone else. He must feel some type of way.

Not to not only start or score. But claiming disrespect from Ten Hag. Which now has blown up in his face.
Thought you were untouchable and a pro?

See the sporting cliff Ronaldo is falling from is pretty high up, air is thin.. so delusion is very much playing it’s part. It will hit him soon enough….

Shame most clubs pretend it is.

Then you have the fans who slate the few clubs with actual ambition to spend and win while pandering to Levy/Glazers etc thinking it makes them a moral protagonist.

Will it? Dudes taking home 173m in one year from football salary alone.
That's probably a small % of his total earnings throughout the year.
One Instagram post apparently gets him up to 2 million euros.
Add that to all his other sponsors and what not. Nothing will be hitting him soon enough, not in this life at least.

He'd give all the money in the world to be unanimously declared the greatest footballer of all time. Plenty of people consider him such, but I reckon fewer every day given recent events.

Ronaldo:

“An incredible day for Portugal, with a historical result in the biggest event in world football. [It was a] luxury exhibition of a team full of talent and youth. The squad is to be congratulated. The dream is alive! Until the end! Go for it, Portugal!"

You think? that would probs be as much of a shock as him getting dropped after how they played last night and more so, the performance

The manager looks a tough cookie so it will bve interesting to see if he does?

I don't to be honest...he'll get minutes if
1) Portugal are well ahead
2) Portugal are behind with 10 to go & they need a bit of magic

Fair points the pressure on the manager from the fans will be huge, sure I heard them shouting his name last night, might be mistaken? that said it would probs be a bigger decision to start him than to not
