I am like most Leeds fans expecting a 2 or 3 goal home defeat against City and a narrow defeat away against Newcastle but then a priceless narrow home win against West Ham that ensures we avoid slipping into the bottom 3 will be an OK return, I think, but then we really must hope that Radz isn't his usual scrooge this time of the year and we do strengthen in January with at least 2 new players. 🙏

Embarrassing that fans of a 3rd year premier league team are expecting to get pasted at home ......
Should be looking forward to taking the game to a very good side with a fierce home crowd cheering them on albeit probably getting edged out.
Clearly ain't run properly if people think we're going to ship on closer to 10 than 0

Well it's not a surprise we could be hammered tomorrow considering the Haaland factor - but maybe he'll go easy on us - although unfortunately, De Bruyne certainly won't. Am anticipating this game with both excitement and trepidation 'cos you never know...

I for one am very happy the WC is over, having missed all the matches bar France v England, which I had to watch because that where I live. I've been giving anyone who rubs it in the two fingers.

I think FIFA are a corrupt bunch of barstewards and the Qatari political elite are scheissters. 6500 migrant workers died in terrible conditions putting that on. FIFA made a 6bn profit? We should've boycotted it and forfeited the place out of principle. I hope Infantino NEVER again pushes for another winter WC but I've read somewhere that Saudi Arabia want 2030? I've absolutely hated this break in the PL - whatever the result, thank goodness we're back to PL football again.

Jaz we’re playing on Wednesday not tomorrow but yes you’re right- FIFA is corrupt. But aren’t we fans complicit in it by going there or watching it on TV; and the media, too, by reporting it. And the FA and Football League by recognising it. And TV companies by televising it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a Panorama Qatar exposé in a few years, revealing who took what bung during the voting process, by which time the horse will have well and truly bolted, never to be caught…

You're right of course, Lorrimer, I'm talking out of my 'arris as usual - but I'm blaming it on the early IPA rather than early onset of senility.

Merry ho-ho-hos to one and all!

Happy Christmas, everyone. I’m hoping for a better New Year re Leeds Utd. I’d like the takeover to happen in the hope that some investment is made in new, good, players. We’re no good to the 49ers in the Championship.

Welcome back, Jonty, and seasons greetings to all. We have already had our Christmas and my mother-in-law has just moved in two doors down, so I hope she likes 'Marching on together' at 5.00 a.m.
The World Cup is done and now it's back to the serious business of staying up. We have looked pretty insipid in our friendlies and the second half against Monaco was a $hitshow. If anyone can explain why we rewarded Llorente with a four year contract after that, please share. As for the number of players 'rested' because of minor aches and pains, I fail to see how this benefits them when their next game is against the League Champions. They should be champing at the bit to get on and show what they have got.
On the plus side, we are getting City after the World Cup and they certainly looked vulnerable at times against Liverpool in the Carabao cup.
On the minus side, we are without Adams, so Jesse will, I think, opt for a damage limitation option of 4-3-3. But who will he put into the midfield to replace Adams? Klich? Forshaw? Up against Gundogan, De Bruyne and Mahrez? Life seems so unfair.
I am worried about our defence and I wish Jesse would stop looking at his watch every five minutes, as thisonly adds to my anxiety.
As for the transfer window, any left back with two legs will do at this stage. I am just waiting for Radz to extend Firpo's contract next.
Ok everybody, fasten your seatbelts and get ready for another ride on the LUFC rollercoaster. Whhheeeeeeee!!!

Its Christmas in our house Rev, my wife traditional German and likes her traditions, I've never really taught the kids any of the Jewish festivals but we talked about it this year and might do a few next year, just so they know bit more about my side of family's background.

Marschian, how come she's moved so close?

I forgot to add ‘good yomtov’, Jonty. For those not in the know, Hanukkah celebrates the reclaiming of one of our. temples in biblical times. There was very little oil at the time, but the Israelites kept the lights burning for eight nights. It is about light overcoming darkness, but for Jewish kids, it is a time for cakes, chocolates, games and gifts. A bit like Christmas without JC. Worryingly, the Hannukah lights go out just before the game against City.
As for my Mum-in-law, she’s moved into town after living on her own for a decade. She’s had a couple of bumps and falls, so the idea is that we can keep an eye on her. She is also the only person who can walk into our home without our psychotic collie demanding a blood sample. Now, he’d make a perfect left back.

You should invite Llorente and Firpo over for drinks before the January window opens, but starve your dog for a couple of days before they visit!

Welcome back everyone. We are still in Thailand visiting our youngest but start our travel back from Chiang Mai tomorrow. A day in Bangkok and then the long flight home via Dubai.

Sod’s law the game was moved from today to a time when we will be 40,000ft in the sky. I’m hopeful Emirates will show it as I did watch a WC game on the way out. It will be around 3am though but I can hack it

Best wishes to everyone and here’s hoping we can pick up at least 4 points from the next 3 games.
