Yeah the shot looked powerful and unexpected in real time but watching the slow motion replay back, it looks slower and the more I watch it, the more I am expecting the shot in the replay.

I'm saying I've never agreed with that "if it's on target it's your goal" rule.
You could have the most awful shot on target ever, and if it takes a monster deflection and goes in, it's your goal, even if the shot had absolutely no chance of going in.
Crap rule but it is what it is.
