Four centre backs, three defensive midfielders in the starting lineup. Left three attacking players. They finished the game with five centre backs and three defensive midfielders.

Of course some of that is due to injuries but they left Nwaneri on the bench and even Skelly who can be a really good offensive full back.

He doesn’t seem to trust young players. In a team going for the league, an attack minded manager would be more likely to start with Trossard up front and Nwaneri on the wing, with Skelly at full back but its safety first for Arteta, which has worked thus far but against well organised low blocks draws are certainly a possibility.
