Think it probably will. I don't see any way Ronaldo stops til he reaches it. Not sure where he goes to do it though. The San Marino league perhaps. Logic would say he stays in Saudi and he would reach it in three years but seems he wants to move again.

True.

Pele's unprovable "record" of 1280 goals in 1360 games is an insurmountable target in today's well-documented game.

But who knows what the future holds? We keep changing the rules to protect strikers. We keep adding more games into the football calendar. Better equipment. Advancements in sport medicine. e.t.c.

Maybe not in our lifetimes. But it could happen.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the US now especially with World cup year approaching and the US desperate to get all eyes stateside.

That's if it even goes ahead in the US.
There is mounting pressure on FIFA to host all WC matches just in Mexico & Canada, due mainly to the current instability, but also to protect fans who could easily be deported or detained on the whim of the orange felon.
