My thoughts are it's a disorganized mess with little hope of paying off long term until an actual structure is put in place. Targeting all the best young players in the world & hiring five different transfer "experts" isn't a plan, it's desperation.

But one thing that I am hopeful about is Boehly clearly doesn't mind spending the money, so if something does change structurally in the future I don't believe he'll deliberately hold us back. Good intentions, terrible execution so far.

Yeah it’s all a bit chaotic so far. Few of us are just as bamboozled

You won’t be able to spend this sort of money from next year as the max you can spend on transfers and wages is 90% of your revenue. I think that’s why you’re doing it all now.

They are making a mockery of FFP, not the first team to do so but 400m in 6 months should be a ban especially now that it seems they are giving out daft contracts to get around it.

That they have got worse in those 6 months is bizarre but a result of Boehly not having the first clue about what he is doing and just going mad signing anyone he can.

Makes me chuckle seeing people that have no business with our club, way more invested in our club than their own club. Thought we were a "finished club when Roman leaves" "Spending days are over" or other such nonsense words to that effect.

Green with envy.

I mean the reasons we got worse, and the spending are not really linked.
We've got all our best players but silva out injured.

Cucurella - Schit
Koulibaly - Schit
Sterling - Pretty schit
Aubameyang - Schit

I mean if they were good signings instead you probably would be better so i think it's linked. A lot of money on mediocre players that if you spend on good players would have improved you, it's not a stretch to suggest you could have spent better.

Started off the season winning though with those same players.
So as mentioned, not really linked.

Sitting in 10th would certainly suggest you’re finished for the time being.

Also you’re apparently after Trossard. So ANOTHER forward on top of:

Felix
Mudryk
Sterling
Fofana

All in the last 6 months. All while ignoring your need for a CF. Boehly is playing FIFA Career Mode. Badly.

As a Liverpool fan, I would love to have an owner like Boehly. He's doing what every good owner should do; investing in the playing squad, rather than building shiny stands and training grounds.

Yes, their transfers are slightly scattergun, but at least they're splashing the cash.

Nope. Boehly just needs to get in a single person on charge of transfers and Chelsea could be a frightening prosepct. He clearly doesn't mind spending.

If you're after my personal opinion, the whole front line needs replacing.

We have no CF to speak of since Boja became an injury statistic for the rest of the season and left us with just an empty shirt with the name Aubameyang across the back of it.

On the flanks either side, both Ziyech and Pulisic have failed to live up to expectation, as has Sterling.

In short we arguably have the most powder puff attack in the division.

The signing of the Ukrainian lad and Felix on loan to the end of the season will hopefully redress that situation and I expect at least 2 out of that three, hopefully all, to be moved on.

The new administration have made mistakes in the summer undoubtedly. Koulibaly has been found out in the PL and exposed for pace, while Cucarella was probably not required, given we had young academy players who could have been backup for Chilwell (Hall and Maatsen).

So, yes I am starting to see that the limitations of the squad have been noticed and I'm expecting quite a few ins and outs, this window or more likely the coming summer!
