Weggers!

A decision needs to be made.
Not Weggsy I think, I'm afraid Ryan is no longer one to emulate.

Scrambled Weggs, goes great with Rashers

There is a really really poor pun in this about devils on Horst back, or something, but I can't quite see it.

Weghorsty

I was pretty sure he'd have a big role to play. He's the only wout and wout striker in our squad, and there's no denying he's a real workhorst.

There's also the question of how to rotate him with Martial when both are available. I guess it's a case of horsts for courses.

He's certainly no world beater and long term answer but he's better than people give him credit for. You don't score 2 goals off the bench against the world champions elect unless you have something about you.

52, can you please delete this comment. I've reported to Admin but they aren't always quick to respond. Have read through twice to check I haven't misread it, and SE85 has actually commented on this thread without any puns.

He's the only one so far.

I like him. Does his job well.

His grandfather was called Wout Weghorst* and his father was also called Wout Weghorst* meaning that each and every time he’s in the lineup, UNITED ARE STARTING WWIII!

Would also be true if ancestors were named Wim, Willem, Wolter, etc., which increases the odds if nothing else.

It's nice having an wout and wout striker in the side.

It is good to have the old-fashion centre forward instead of the "false 9" type rubbish they spout nowadays. Big lad with international club experience and World Cup goals. Hopefully the missing jigsaw piece. I've always liked the Dutch people for their friendliness. Many amazing footballers too.

The best feeling about the signing is that Erik knows him well so it is not an impulsive act and obviously Weghorst wants to play for him. Fingers crossed!

I don't have a tv. Is it pronounced Woot or Wowt, Voot or Vowt? I expect it is one of the last two.

Ten Hag doesn't know him *that* well, does he? They never worked together before, just share the same nationality.

For a 6ft6 striker he can hardly jump can he? Still he is better than having nobody in that position and especially CR7
