I think we all know we won't be getting anyone today.
Re Erikson, think of it as an opportunity, one of our young players may be promoted and surprise us all.
Anyway Fred is getting better all the time.
In Erik we trust

We’re gonna see more of Fred and McTom now as well, this could not get anymore depressing. Our depth in midfield is so bad.

Casemiro, Fred and McTom. Martinez can also play DM should we need him.

I'd still prefer we look to sign someone.

Same could be said if Rashers/Casemiro or Varane got injured too... But this is nothing but very bad news. He's absolutely pivotal in the way we play.

Oh no, its a shame Arsenal have pinched Jorginho.

Let’s hope Fred can step up to the plate now. He’s looked decent this season & playing next to Casemiro might bring out the best of him.

We’re gonna miss his creativity badly too, it’s all gonna be on Bruno to deliver.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan but his best attribute is passing and we really will struggle to keep hold of the ball in midfield now.

Carroll really is a disgrace to football

Could we see Bruno playing deeper and Sancho through the middle?

Or even Garnacho through the middle?

Given Mainoo got minutes vs Reading, maybe he is ahead of Iqbal in the pecking order.

Just looking around Europe, there are not many replacements that would fit the mould. Juventus currently struggling after their points deduction. Pogba is back and fit but looks like he wants out. He would be perfect for that position. Should we put in a cheeky £80m bid? We would make it all back in shirt sales so it would be a no lose option.

Only on loan, and at minimum wage

Still think Fred and Case with Bruno ahead will serve us better in the tough ‘big’ games coming up, but against the sides we should be beating on paper we’ll miss Eriksen creativity massively if up against a packed defence.

Should stick a late bid in for Tielemans, he’s the standard our squad players should be if we were to buy a more long term CM option in the summer. Could finally fck McT off then.

Ten Hag press conference in 15 mins will be interesting to see if he says anything about a late signing
