Why does it need to become public for the club to decide to keep him ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because if it is true, it would paint him in a much better light. There would be less damage to the club's reputation and they may decide to keep him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So it would make things easier, but they can still keep him without it going public.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, I don't think so. The financial/reputational damage would be too great unless it comes out.

Ofcourse this would all rest on what culer claims, which lets face it is probably a massive load of bollox.

No I haven't.

Call me naive but I actually think Culer may be telling the truth. It's not beyond the realms of possibility as for the Ched Evans case my mate from school was the night receptionist (https://www.irishexaminer.com/world/arid-30758120.html) at the hotel and had to give evidence. Someone in the Manchester area knows more than the public at large so why not Culer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I appears to have been common knowledge that they are back together. Pretty sure that Culer also said that she had stopped cooperating with the police, which we now know is the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes I have heard from a few that they were back together

Not at all. We have seen the lads own sponsors distance themselves. We have seen club sponsors say they are monitoring the situation and do not condone abuse of women. We have a lawyer giving his expert opinion saying that the bad press could impact on the sale price of the club. On the other side we have you talking guff as usual.

The sponsors dropped him before they found out the case was dropped.

The sponsors haven’t commented since yesterday’s news.

Lots of things could impact the sale price of the club. You thought a transfer would ffs.

The sponsors dropped him before they knew the outcome of the the investigation, because the audio itself was damaging enough.

The sponsors (of the club) will likely be waiting for the outcome of United's investigation and discussions with them before making any decisions.

A big transfer would impact on the value of the club. Its not rocket science. The owners aren't going to go out and splash 120m on Kane, for example, when they are in the middle of trying to sell the club.

So NIke drop him Immediately, but club sponsors don't do anything. Interesting.

As for the transfer talk. Odd you think the club would be reluctant to add an asset like Kane, but be prepared to write off best part of £100m on Greenwood.

The club sponsors sponsor the club. Not Mason. The clue is in the name. Think about it.

Trying to sign Kane or not is in no way related to making a decision on whether the club should keep Mason or let him go. Or the financial impact of doing either. Totally different scenarios. Even you should know this
