But nothing that will give you a factual basis for this point.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Prove it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How is that possible, exactly? Prove that the data I say doesn't exist, doesn't exist?

If you think I'm wrong, you tell me what data you think would give you the factual basis.

You can't. It doesn't exist.

And according to your alleged hourly wage it's already cost you £140 to keep trying to dig your way out of this hole
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually it's more than £140.
How did you pay yourself? Lets do the maths.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Except I don't pay myself using an hourly wage, because I run my own company.

And whilst I'm schooling you, I'm writing a report, watching a TV programme and eating a bag of crisps.

You may have a crap job where you're paid by the hour and can't do anything else while you work, but I don't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course you are
You didn't answer the question. How did you pay yourself?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How did I pay myself?

What sort of question is that?

I pay myself a base salary and then dividends throughout the year.

But it's not a question on red or blue.
It's a question on whether refereeing decisions influence the outcome of league positions during the course of a season.

Which goes to show how stupid you really are.
40k allowance single one time payment into pension.
Lowest level of income tax and dividend to not hit the higher limit comes to around 50k.
What you do is buy assets or index funds then incur 10% tax on wind down or sale.
If you paid 155k in dividends and salary you really are not that well off.
Your 155k is peanuts compared to what I was earning. 400k net profit was a couple of months for me.
Clearly you're not client facing in any way shape or form.

The red/blue is the perfect comparison.

There is no data to prove my point. That's the whole point. If there were data, you'd be able to prove me wrong.

You can't.

I'm paying myself money in order to pay off my mortgage.

I also have a pension and investments... but I haven't included that in this discussion.

Oh and actually, the optimum salary is £20k after which it's financially beneficial to revert to dividends.

Oh, and you casually forgot that the money retained in the business is also mine.

No it's not
Red/blue are discrete colours.
Football matches consist of continuous data.

You do get the mathematical distinction between the two things don't you?

Prove that continuous data can't be analysed.

Off you go.

Yes it is.

It shows that it's not possible to provide proof if something doesn't exist.

What is possible is to prove someone wrong. So if there is data, and I'm wrong, you'll be able to tell me what it is, won't you?

Good luck with that.

Because I'm quite happy using the forum as well as working.

Football matches exist
Refereeing decisions exist
Outcomes of matches exist

Prove that refereeing decisions can't be modelled with regards to outcomes of matches over the course of a season.

You might want to start by loooking up literature where it has been modelled while eating your unhealthy crisps.

Off you go

Football matches exist
Refereeing decisions exist
Outcomes of matches exist

So?

What data within that would enable you to state, as a fact, that a referee has cost you the league?

The data simply doesn't exist.

How can anyone prove that data doesn't exist?

posted on 15/2/23

You can't prove that data doesn't exist you can prove that not enough data exists to draw a conclusion.

Which you haven't done.

A better analogy would be you arguing that there's not enough data to forecast the weather rather than claiming it doesn't exist.

What?

How on earth does one prove that there is not enough data?

You keep assuming this is about data that is missing.

It isn't.

The subjectivity of football means that it's about the data being an impossibility.

None of it would enable a factual conclusion regarding whether a referee has cost you the league, though.

I'm retired in my 40s, I didn't spend my top earning years arguing on forums every day and don't expect anything other than the green eyed monster from someone who can't discipline themselves to achieve that.

Lets not make some more make believe that you can focus on work and post here at the same time.
