Skysports saying Owners do not want to sell and are committed to long term future.
It's all smoke.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess they now have the money-printing stadium, they can use the club to acquire more and more property etc
How much money do these people need ffs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or it’s a good sound bite to drive up the offer - they can’t say we’re desperate to sell
The fact that we had the meeting with the Qataris shows you they are not closed on the idea of selling the club

This is gonna pizz off so many people.
The truth is I'm a little unsure anyway. If FFP really turn the screw on the rules, and all clubs have to adhere to finances generated in-house, then I'd rather have Levy in place than someone who wants to spend their own money but can't. At least he has an eye for profit. The stadium is a game changer, IF FFP is applied as it should be. If not, then by all means get rid of him but I'd be cautious about any sell until we know the fallout from the City case. If they get punished heavily, you watch all those sport-washed teams suddenly turning off the tap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Per - lease
They will just get better accountants and hide it better - Christ you are naive
And City will get a fine and a few points docked and a 1 year ban from Euro comp - they will probably appea that and get the ban lifted
I don't think anyone can say ENIC are hiding or keeping any profits.

Agreed. Plus win loads of trophies in the process. If Spurs fans are pining all our hopes of success on oil clubs being sanctioned, then good luck with that. If anything Chelsea have come out of it richer. Won’t be long before Chelsea are winning trophies again, plus Newcastle rising. Unfortunately impossible to win trophies with our current ownership.

Sure, the game is as bent as a 9 Bob note.
Would happily accept major investment into the club… but would also be happy if Levy stays on, in some capacity.
He has delivered fantastic training facilities & ground… set up deals to showcase events etc…
The last 3 transfer windows… he has produced…
But is biggest mistake was not investing in the team, when Poch was manager… ending in Poch getting sacked.
We have bought some expensive duds recently… but not his fault… he needs to recruit the best scouts that money can buy .,
Our scouting system is the major problem…

Has he though? Don’t you agree we should have bought a CB this window?
As always with Levy, it’s always a bit short.
The thing I hate is our managers get it in the neck for shortfalls that boil down to lack of funds. Giving Conte that defence, selling Modric and Bale in consecutive seasons and buying a lot of dross with the proceeds - despite having zero say in the signings - AVB gets the chop.
Jol sacked at half time
Redknapp sacked after finishing 4th
Nuno hired
Jose sacked a week before a cup final
The way some of you have had enough of Conte, lots of us have had enough of Enic and Levy. Some of you were saying we had better get over it because they are going nowhere - we’ll actually it looks more and more likely they are finally faaaacking off, so get used to that reality boys
Club have denied they are selling Don. So looks like it is already dead in the water.
