Sturgeon had to go, the £37 billion pound track and trace fiasco, the billion pound PPE fiasco, the lying, the sleaze, the parties during covid while people were dying..

oh wait...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Being "not as bad as the Tories" just cements the transition from Salmond's SNP to Sturgeon's pseudo-Labour.
The idea of the SNP is to show that Scotland can lead its own way in the world and encourage others to see the same. If the justification for their party's existence is simply to say "well we're not as scandal-ridden as the bunch of coked-up public schoolboys down south" then the baw's burst and the game's a bogey.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would you rather have in charge of your country?

Take your time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate that argument.

Same as when a manager needs to go. “Who’s available though? Who would you take?”

Not a reason to keep someone who isn’t performing.

Pash argument. Can’t reward failure.
No doubt the alternatives have been a joke and are politically lost at best… that doesn’t mean she’s done a good job. Far too partisan in Scotland and she’s played on that better than anyone. A politician above reproach is worrying. I’ve always been labour… the biggest issue with them was that they rested on their laurels in Scotland.

Nicola could have won by a landslide regardless of any failings. Surely that’s unhealthy?

Just as labour expected years back. Lazy, too powerful and arrogant.

I don't think the SNp have done a particularly grand job on the big issues, i can't blame them for the NHS but education is a massive failure.

what i will say is that i believe her best intentions were for scotland which is more than i can say for conservative MP's here

The ferry fiasco is down to her (amongst everything else)
=========

behave mate.

aye its late and over budget but covid resulted in a decrease in availbility of raw material and an increase in the cost of it.

pretty predictable that it would be late and overbudget.

what i will say is that i've been dealing with FPSO's in brazil for sometime and whilst they have been delayed its not to the same extent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You do realize the ferries were due to be completed in 2018, BEFORE Covid?

You do also realise that Ferguson Marine were the only bidders who had NOT built a ferry and were £37m more expensive than the lowest compliant bidder?

It’s probably just a coincidence though that the owner of Ferguson Marine was an SNP donor

Why can’t you blame them for NHS?

Let’s not forget that not only did they blindly copy the UK governments blunder of releasing hospital patients into care homes without checking they actually compounded that blunder by releasing the elderly from hospitals into care homes AFTER testing positive for Covid!

And what about the Queen Elizabeth hospital fiasco, is that someone else’s fault as well?

That’s not even a real question to be fair. It’s asking if you would rather have an entire party in charge of government or just one person which is kinda silly as that one person will not be able to do everything. Especially as she is so incapable of the one job she has walked away from before the smelly stuff hits the fan

But Covid, the supply chain issues leading to material shortages and inevitable huge price increases happened after the massive delays to the project which was by then already years late and multi millions over budget.

So for sure cost increases have exacerbated the problem but do not in any way reflect the subterfuge she and her cronies indulged in the first place.

And that’s before we even get to the award to an incompetent builder who couldn’t get basic designs correct such as the pulleys being far too short.

It was a ministerial shambles from start to, crikey; I can’t even say finish as it’s still years away

And then the incredulous attempts at a cover up.

Ukraine has flirted with NATO since 1990 but passed a parliamentary bill that precluded membership in 2010. Should we just be telling them to fack off for another 12 years, Stevie?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Having a referendum to see if the public have "changed their mind" about independence after 10 years, at this moment in time, is far from the top of our list of priorities.

If we really must ask the question again at some point to satisfy some folk that just wont take no for an answer......fine, lets have it.

For me though, now just isn't the time, nor had it ever been the time for the last 8-9 years of Sturgeons leadership, but its never went away....there are far more important things that the party in power should be concerning themselves with

On the question of legacy, there were a few examples of bad policy in action, here is one more. The SNP have over seen the building of a single new children's hospital in the capital, which is late and vastly over budget. Years late. And still not open I believe.... With several critical closures in local NHS services (in remote areas), services moved to bigger centres, it means the health service here has seen a huge decline with the SNP. Not that this should come as a surprise.
