On a separate matter, from what I've read about the white paper on footy regulation there is nothing about spreading the wealth through the pyramid and all you hear is Prem clubs bleating about there being no need for an independent regulator and besides they are having very productive talks with EFL about wealth distribution. Not so, according to Rick Parry. These talks are going nowhere (surprise, surprise!) so HMG's reliance on Football sorting this out without regulation is pie in the sky.

For me, this question of finance is the most important matter to address and, of course there is the large elephant in the room so far not mentioned - parachute payments.

If the plane I was on lost all power I expect I would be prepared to pay a lot for a parachute.

Those going tomorrow, the wind in South Yorkshire cuts through you like a hot knife through butter.
Hopefully we can do the same to their defence. We should have been 3 or 4 up at half time against them at Pride Park. Now Collins isn't leading the attack we might actually be 3 or 4 up at half time.

This is the day when I roll out my story of when I went to Barnsley in the 90s and got a 3 course meal at a pub there for £1.00. We lost 2 0 that day.

Mr Zan asked me what i thought of it. I said it was pretty good, but the batter was too thick. There was too much before you got to the melted Mars Bar.

So Mr Zan says ..."you're saying that it could have been batter " ???

Yes, I hate cold weather. Humans evolved in the tropics. They like it about 27 degrees C if undressed. Just back from Gran Canaria with a pleasant 21 in the day, T shirt weather.

The planes would fly anyway. The carbon footprint per passenger mile for a full plane is about the same as driving a car so it is only the equivalent of an annual car mileage of about 10,000 miles. When I was a low carbon consultant I used to drive around 24,000 miles a year. The irony was not lost on me. I don't eat meat so that more than compensates for my holidays.
