I like the idea of a Kompany or Carrick but not 100% convinced they would ever be given the time for it to work or come good. If they hit the ground running great but a few bad results and we are back to square one.....fan's and the board will need to be ultra patient with either.

Also as others have said the media will printing shat every day about Man City wanting Kompany as there next manager as soon as he gets the Spurs job (if it happens). So no point in considering him base on that. He will always have that in his mind becasue of that too.

I could see Kane moving abroad for a couple of years, esp if that's his best chance to get away from Levy. He can still come back to one of the PL heavyweights and be effective after a spell in Spain or Germany

Maybe.. Could argue that a couple of titles or even a CL win is more likely at a RM or Bayern than going to say United and needing to basically play every single game for the next 3 or 4 years (like he does at Spurs) to reach Shearer.

I can see Levy being more willing to do deal this summer with a club in Europe than he will with United.. Time isn't on Kane's side

If Kane stays in the UK I think Newcastle might just make Levy an offer he can't refuse this summer.... 130mln, all upfront.... SOLD.

If they get him and say Maddison and a couple players to strengthen the squad.. call it a 250mln summer spend.. They are in business

I’d bet good money Newcastle won’t be getting Kane.

Too soon for Carrick. He has not been in management long enough and doing well at a Championship club over 1 season isn't the biggest achievement. It's something Scott Parker did and even Lampard did well with Derby County.

At least with Kompany he's been in management a lot longer. He also seems a better fit to succeed as a manager for me i.e. being taught by Pep, the way he transformed the style of Burnley, just the leadership skills he showed on the pitch as a player.

I think both are fairly risky at this stage of their careers but Kompany is a much better risk.

Doubt any of the bigger sides will be picking up Carrick or Kompany this summer.
