Should have put it on when we sacked Tuchel
Been abroad when other countries have (ab)used it and it scares the bejeezus out of you especially if driving. Can't imagine it is much fun either if you are carrying something very hot, paint a particularly intricate detail, carrying out delicate surgery, trying to get babies to sleep etc.

I usually put my phone on silent when I’m performing brain surgery
It's not that innovative. Other countries have been doing it for ages. We are behind the curve.
They have stated the time that it will happen so you can be ready for it. Set a reminder on your phone for 1 minute before. Simples.
You can disable emergency alerts on your phone if you don’t want to be disturbed.

on yourself? I was wondering why you were single cell poo
I like this idea because it enrages idiots like Neil Oliver.
But at the same time I do wonder how/where it's going to be deployed in the UK.
Countries where it's used often have earthquakes and/or extreme weather events. We have occasional floods, but how much prior warning will this alert give, and to what end?
And I've heard it's also used for missing child alerts, but I've no idea how this works. Which missing children? Every time a child goes missing?

The alert still sounds if your phone is on silent. So it'll probably impact you more if you're not expecting your phone to make a noise.
