If we stay in the PL
send Cresswell & Hjelde back out on loan for a full season. Extend Cresswell's contract before if necessary.
Bate - loan to a better team in League One. Or to Championship.
Gelhardt - loan out to team where he can play in his position.
Get rid of the rest
If in Championship
Cresswell, Hjelde can be in the squad. Tempt Drameh to stay and be starter. Can we tempt James to stay? Play Gelhardt.
Bate out on loan. Get rid of the rest
Let's be honest, the way these players have been performing in the last few games, would the loanees do any worse ?.
I always thought the boy Shackleton would make it at Leeds.

Other than Cresswell, Hjelde, Gelhardt, James and maybe Drameh, yes. They would do worse IMO.
We will need these guys when back in the championship next season....
I hope we keep Drameh. But, doubt he'll want to stay
after the club effed him around so much. And his agent
is ramping up the chatter regards moving on.
Shackleton I wish had panned out. Always liked him.
Good lad who I hope the club will help find a new club.
I'd keep these players:
Gelhardt (be tempted to sell if offer came in though)
Bate
Cresswell
Hjelde
Sell these players for whatever you can get:
Costa (probably mutually end his contract)
Roberts - QPR were hinting their medical staff would like him
James - No way he's coming back. We'll lose a shed load
Poveda

Cosidering 11 goals conceded in two thrashings with some of these players getting games now.

You do realise that there's a MASSIVE difference between playing for Leeds or Luton town, right?! Luton a team not "expected" to be in the PL, already well placed before he arrived. About 10,000 fans at home
Leeds, big club, fighting for survival, cameras everywhere, approx 40,000 fans, hostile atmosphere etc etc etc. Not taking into consideration footballing levels between Champo & PL. As poorly as we've been.
Don't get me started on Rotherham. Fight against relegation there too, but bottom half of Championship.
I've also read that Championship's quality not as high as it's been in previous seasons also. Massive massive difference.
What I'm saying is I think we're guilty or "idealising" players who aren't playing, players who are out on loan.
Also, I'd rather have young players learning their craft down in the Championship for a couple of seasons rather than being effed around the way we've done with Pascal Struijk. Think he hasn't progressed for a year +. And that's down to us not handling situation appropriately, CB & LB.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks to me like the PL quality is not as high as previous seasons. Half the league fighting relegation.
Llorente…on loan with an option to buy! Be lucky to get his wages off the books.
Would like to think Cresswell is pushing for a place. Never really rated Koch
James - we’ve well and truly burnt our bridges with that young man.
Cresswell & Hjelde are both better centre-halves than Struijk. Bring those two back & keep them. Keep Gelhardt too. Sell the rest.

Yep, a dog’s breakfast all round👍
With the exception of Cresswell and Drameh, none of them are making an impact. Hjelde has been OK but not consistent. Whether we stay up or not, we need a complete reset.
Drameh best right back we have on our books by a country mile, will move on but should have been our starter in that position this season, he will start week in week out for a premier league side somewhere.
Cresswell will play for England one day.
Bate has a future but still young.
Rest agree.

Harsh.
He was great at times. Those early games at right back and then the derby playoff first leg he was the best player. Just constant injuries held him back, without those I think he’s would have ended up a starter at least in that second season. Not premier league quality but he has enough about him to be a good champ player.

Unnecessarily harsh Els - Shackleton could easily make it at Leeds when we drop down a couple of divisions. He’ll just have to hang on a couple of years…
Shackleton looked (mostly) great whenever he played under Bielsa. Just got unlucky with injuries meaning he could never get a sustained run in the team. Wish him all the best for the future as doubt he'll be coming back at all now.

Do you mean he could make it at Leeds when we drop down to League one. I think you are agreeing with my assessment aren't you?
Noticable that Shackleton has rarely started for Millwall, doesn't that kind of sum up his level.
