where on earth have Gooners got it in their minds that United want City to actually win the league, just to prevent Arsenal.

I will freely admit that I would rather City won the league, especially if it pizzes off arrogant gooners like the OP.

but you are not a united fan

The OP is a United fan

ah well....

I'm from Manchester. Born at the wrong time . And I don't understand it, then.

City winning the league is obviously the will of the people.

Don't fight it.

It’s in the north London water.

On city Vs Arsenal winning the league - oversimplifying my thoughts would be:

Heart: Arsenal proper club which I respect, played very well so far would rather they win it and don’t want a City treble

Head: whilst I don’t like city winning 3 on the bounce nor a possibility of a proper treble (this is the biggest factor), I also don’t like the idea of a top 4 type rival winning the league and that win emboldening them, increasing their growth as a rival. Arsenal aren’t a Leicester (no offence) so part of me thinks that if they did win it, it will help them to earn more money, attract better signings and give them confidence going forward for the next few years. I’d rather less competition for the top places / league win than more.

But I do think that now the treble possibility clinches it. I was at a couple of pubs tonight and was screaming for Le 4rse more than most of the Arsenal fans 🤣

City may well win the treble. Look at the calibre of teams in Europe this season - they’re the only one I’d look at and say that’s a very good team.

Put it this way, I don’t see anyone stopping them on paper.

At least they can only match our achievement. We’ve denied them the quad.

The Spursy tag seemed to have transferred to Man U. 2-0 up in the tie against Seville, and then lost 5-2. Very Spursy. Although could be very United, remember when they were 1-0 up at home to Spurs, then lost
6-1? Now that wasn`t Spursy, that was United.

He still has a way to go to match the abominable alpaca for errors leading to goals.

It does appear that Arsenal may be cooked, sadly. Even if they do find some form again, their run in is too difficult to see them realistically finishing top now

In this analogy, Arsenal was the bat and Spurs was the chinaman who focked that bat... Creating the Spursy variant that's infected both clubs.

I am sure you also remember being 3-0 up at half time at the Lane and seeing 5 get put past you in the second half. You don’t get more Spursy than that.

Fair enough. I remember you from the Danny Blanchflower days, especially as we had his kid brother. But don't get worked up, we've had plenty of bad times since, including relegation, which you haven’t had. But it's time you won a trophy, any, to seal your place in the top six. Bonne chance.
