I said it a few months ago. I think a combo of only one year left on his contract, City having Haaland, us badly needing a striker - all added up makes it a no-brainer for me.

Yes he’s only gonna provide 3 seasons say but that’s enough time for us to try and find a younger replacement. I don’t buy into the Victor Osimhen hype enough; we’ve seen too many talented players come and not push on or in fact regress.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We would get 4-5 years out of Kane. He doesn’t rely on pace.

That’s why he’s the best.

Huh?
Defence is pretty decent, 2 freak games apart it’s one of the best in the PL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, take away the Liverpool, city and Brentford scorelines and we’d be 2nd best in the league.

We got into a good rhythm with Martinez and Verane at CB, ground out a few results and there was a time a 1-0 lead felt comfortable.

Kane should be our number 1 target, along with a CB.

I don't doubt Kane would be a good signing for us, but it's another signing of a guy who ideally would have come to us a few years earlier. There's no guarantee of how long we will get out of him - players just tend to pick up more injuries in their 30s.

Haaland is in his first year and has done a great job, and he's still only young, so give me a choice of the 2 and it would be Haaland, but that's not a choice we have.

You said it yourself, it’s an option we don’t have.

So who are the strikers out there capable of 30 PL goals in a season?

There’s only on already here, maybe a handful worldwide and even less available for sale this summer.

Considering how bad our strikeforce is, I now think we need two good attacking players so hoping Greenwood is back and Kane is signed. 👍

It will be interesting to see what happens with Greenwood. Regardless of the 'rights and wrongs' of it, from a pure footballing sense, it would be helpful if he was available

If you swap Kane and Haaland around, Kane scores more for City and Haaland scores less for Spurs.

I’ve been told he ain’t coming back. ETH doesn’t like the sound of him, because he told United he should be walking right back into the team instead of doing a training camp abroad.

Big chances missed. Kane only missed 12 and scored 30 league goals. Rashford missed 22 big chances and scored 17 and Haaland missed 28 and scored 36.

Life is never as simple as that. Kane is established at Spurs for how long??!! Haaland is in his first season at City, and you can't argue with what he's done, and he will only get better. Of course Kane is a great player, but so is Haaland, and he will only get better over the years.

Top players are playing to a very high level into their mid-thirties - especially CF's. Benzema, Lewandowski, Ronaldo, Messi, Zlatan...

Kane's the consummate professional, doesn't have injuries or fitness issues and is in his prime. He also has more to his overall game than most strikers in world football. I'm fully on board if we can land him!

If we managed to sign Kane, Kim Min-jae, a CM player, GK and a versatile attacker who can also cover the CF position (assuming Greenwood is out of the picture), we'll be in great shape. A RB would be a welcome bonus, and I note things do seem rather quiet on the GK front as far as speculation goes.

I am not against signing Kane, just wish we could have got him earlier. But he solves one issue, when we have a few within the squad. I would just rather wait to see who actually arrives - we have been pretty good in recent years at failing to deliver players who we needed, but hopefully ETH brings better focus to that

We get 5 seasons from Kane easily. He’s elite.

The fact that you called Son “dross” is enough to never take a word you say seriously again

I’d love you to sign Kane, putting him in a side along with the best two CBs in the league, best CM in Cassy, and of course with the one and only Marcus Rashford to his left, it’s about time you put together a proper title challenge given the amount of money the club have spent post Ferguson, and if you were to sign Kane, there really would be no excuses not to be in the mix right until the end next season. Good luck, I look forward to an intimate black and white welcome video of Harry Kane awkwardly playing the recorder on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal 👍👍

If we sign Kane I genuinely think we’d have too much about us for anyone else. Nobody else would be able to challenge us.

Harry, Cassy and Lissy.

It’s some spine that!

He is dross. No real brain just a sprint champion.

Whenever he has to think about something he’s awful.

Init just! I only hope we are able to keep up… We will need to draw on the full strength of our sovereign state backing and creative accountants, looking forward to it ✌️

Could be that not even cheating will be enough next season?

posted on 29/5/23

I think so. City and Liverpool may well put 6 or 7 past them, but United will respond with 8 or 9 or their own.

Haaland this season:

29 EPL goals from open play

2 less than the record of 31, but nobody is allowed to mention it.
