Just watched the interview, one way to interpret it is to find it a refreshingly honest insight to what's going on. Quite how the club has got itself in to this situation though is baffling, we've hardly spent rashly like Everton, Forest or Villa of old, I can only conclude that Fosun need every penny of profit they can get their hands on.

Quite a challenging listen by the way, Lopetegui and Balague are not miked up and it's quite difficult at times to figure out what's being said. But basically there was a plan A when he joined and was told that if we survived last season there would be money for a to 10 push. In May that was torn up and plan B meant there would need to be sales and a need to make a profit, which was going to plan with the sales of Neves and Collins, now plan B is in the bin too and there's no money for purchases unless there are further sales and he'll have to make do with the current squad and kids. Recipe for relegation.

Considering we appear to be pinning lieterally all our hopes of survival on him scoring 15+, it is a tad worrying.

Is anyone in the world apart from pundit pinning all their hopes on Sasa scoring 15+ next season?

He’s only played half of one game in the last year and as we’ve seen with Jimenez, Jonny and Neto, coming back from such an absence isn’t easy

It seems we aren't able to bring a new striker in, judging by yesterdays interview with Lopetegui.

Or maybe you think we can avoid the drop with 30 odd goals scored again?

I take some of what Lopetegui says with a pinch of salt although we will probably have to sell two or three more to make decent signings. Maybe Podence, Hwang, Ait Nouri? They would get in £30m for sure. So i am banking on a new signing but in the absence of that I’d be more hopeful that Fabio would come good than about Sasa doing much until he is fully up to speed in a few months time

Good job really that we made about 80 million so far this summer, especially when you consider Wolfie scoffed at the suggestion we would raise that much.
