I don't think we're a title contender yet, next season with Kane. If so, do we really pay £100m for a player we could take for free a year later when he isn't the final piece of the puzzle?

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want Kane.

100m or not, you don't have to pay for it.

Even just with Kane and Mount that team is streets ahead of where they are now imo.

Apparently Madrid want Kane with Benzemas imminent departure. Would be a tough task getting him ahead of them.

I did see Kane might eventually go to the NFL. Be amusing if he finally won a trophy but in another code.

Very little chance Vini jr leaves. Of course the recent awful racist abuse will spark these rumours but I'd be very surprised.

Madrid have been running a very sensible financial operation for years now. The funds set aside for the Mbappé deal are still available, they were about €200M below their wage cap last season, and Benzema leaving would also free up his share of the wage bill too.

The only really big contracts that spring to mind are Hazard's and Vini's. Alaba, Rudiger, Kroos and Modric will all be on good money, but I doubt any of them have the kind of 'star status' deal that the other two might be on.

Money shouldn't be an issue if Kane and Madrid want each other. Levy might be though.

Vini signed a new deal at the turn of the year. It runs until 2027 and has a €1bn release clause, so the only was he leaves is with Madrid's acquiescence - and a truckload of money, obviously.

Christian Falk is reporting that Kane has said no to Bayern.

Hard to know what's really going on but I've seen a few reports his preference is Utd.

However, Levy won't let that happen given the choice.

Really don’t get the Mount one. Is he backup for Bruno?Eriksen replacement? Not good enough in my view. Donny out the door then?
Rather go for Maddison who’s miles better than Mount from what I’ve seen.

Canr see Kane be over the moon about Spurs appointing Postecoglou, so he could force a move.

Realistically, his options would be United or Real.
