Maybe a tad harsh on Skipp, but Bissouma, Bentancur, PEH, Maddison and Sarr is enough midfielders without any European football.

Yeh agreed on Skipp being the weakest midfielder. Definitely need to ship all those deadwood defenders though. Awful.

Shalom my Jewish brother. Yes, but I think we need to sort this CB situation ASAP. Still we have a very poor defence at the moment. PEH being sold is a bit of a weird one although i see the logic due to the style our new manager will play.

Dreading they will both still be at the club come opening fixture. I really hope not because the thought of Sanchez and Dier stinking out our defence again is criminal

Skipp is homegrown so should be kept ahead of the awful Hojbjerg.

We still need an upgrade on Hojbjerg, 2 X CB and at least one wide forward, 2 depending on what happens with Gil

I don’t see Dier going this summer I think he will want to stay and fight for his place .

Really can’t see anyone coming in with a big enough bid that would tempt club or player .

Sanchez I can see going abroad where a slower pace will suit his game more .

Tanganga possibly could go either permanently or on loan he just isn’t ever going to be good enough .


So we should look to sign 2 top class central defenders to go with Romero, dier while Royal and Davies who I expect both to stay can fill in central roles if needs be .


In midfield with bentancar unlikely to be fully fit until November. Then we should look to strengthen and replace PEH who isn’t good enough to be a regular starter .

Agree Don. Without being able to improve the defence by properly replacing Dier and Sanchez then all we'll become is England playing bazball at the cricket - nice, entertaining style but ultimately still shiiiit.

I was going to write a follow-up to my last article, to underline that what we have done so far, with a addressing Lloris issue and creativity issue with Maddison, we must follow up with 2CBs, one left sided one, and also we must look to bolster the no 6 position, as I don't think we have a strong players for that, and right inside position too - looking at how Ange tactics are.

For me creativity and defensive frailties are 2 factors for Spurs poor form of late. One area has been address, but we need to get VDV and Tapsoba sown up soon.

Once we do that, then we can think we have addressed all the areas we needed to.

Bilky, I would have PEH over Skipp all day long. Skipp is suited to play for Norwich or similar.

Signed last season but part of the deal was loaning straight back to Udinese for a season.

I’m not sure he starts, he is a talent but still very raw. I think Sessegnon finally has a manager that can get the most out of him

Don this has been my message all week - these signings mean faaack all unless we get the CBs right - our weakest position by far and it will be quite demoralising for me at least to go into next season without a serious upgrade there.
