How is it that the Spyrs board has some of the best posters on 606 but also the biggest fruit loops? There is no in-between.

This media conspiracy stuff is right up there with the 'Levy is tight' nonsense despite chucking over half a billion at the team in the last five years.

So here we are. After all those posts calling me god knows what, everyone else is now suddenly realising there IS an anti Spurs agenda.

I mean, how many times does a media outlet or a paper have to sell off Kane before that becomes clear ?? I mean they have been selling him all over the place for, what, about 3 years now.

Then, as someone above quite rightly said, why the obvious disparity between how great Newcastle are doing, compared with what a mess Spurs are in. So what if Newcastle got one top 4, Spurs have been doing that consistently for 6/7 years ( ask any gooner that ! ) then the classic they never win anything. but the wonderful Newcastle's trophy record is abysmal. Something like 60 years and counting. Again, so what they got to a League Cup final ? again, Spurs have been getting to final's regularly.

Anyway, apology accepted !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve, always amuses me how the media arselick Newcastle, yet slaaaaag of Spurs at every opportunity. Even I can barely remember Newcastle last winning a domestic trophy, 1955, and I am coming up to 75.

I dont see it as a conspiracy and i dont think most fans do.

But there is certainly bias towards other teams and unequal treatment of teams in assessing their situations and achievements or lack of it.

As said above, Spurs are an easy target and it is almost standard to mention Spurs' lack of trophies when commenting on anything Spurs.

At no point last season did i hear a commentator speculate "that might be Rashford's last goal for United" "last goal at Old Trafford" "where will he be playing next season etc etc" and we heard that noe stop about Kane, and do so every season.

Rashford has one FA Cup 7 years ago and this years EFL trophy to his name. It's hardly the sort of trophy haul that keeps you at a club if your ambitions but there was barely if any mention of the possibility of him moving.

This is the sort of treatment that i think fans witness and feel that the treated meted out by most of the football media is different.

We are a threat to the media`s darling clubs, they don`t want Spurs taking a place in the CL ahead of the likes of Varpool & Penited, consequently we get these stories put out there to unsettle and belittle.

In fairness, Rashford didn't ask to leave Utd a couple of years ago and all the talk from his agent has been about renewing at Utd - it's an odd comparison.

Better comparison would be when Utd blocked Ronaldo from leaving first time around - it was headline news and the following season was pure speculation throughout. As it was when Suarez didn't move to Arsenal, it was just about where he'd go (when he wasn't busy generating his own headlines that is).

Kane is England captain and record scorer, plus it's known he wanted to leave two years ago. This level of speculation is inevitable. If Kane wasn't as good as he is, nobody would care.

Wrong - sorry dude!

I watched few games last season and the commentators were more or less everytime Rashford did something non the pitch, they mentioned his form, etc and whether he should be at Utd or elsewhere.

I know that every window the press would wheel out the Kane story because this sells - simples!

I know journos and sometimes, news is scarce and big clubs attract big reader numbers, and any story with Kane generally it is something Utd fans bare none, is interested in. Sadly, that means more traffic to the story, more commercial rewards for the journos. Therefore, why wouldn't they cobbled together something on Kane if they gain well from it?
End of the day, they have bills to pay etc..

I don't think jouros target clubs as much as they target individua players.

Mbappe, or Kane or Messi story has loads of value in traffic and monetisation so they are prime targets.

In regards to Spurs not winning anything - it is a fact. How can a club commit a suicide by not bolstering the side that was capable of winning the title but had lost a key member - Dembele? It's hysterical. Same when the club sacked the manager just six days away from a final when the club had won NOTHING?

These are self made laughable attributes Spurs have created. Don't shoot others if they find it funny that the chairman diverts funds to build stadium when the team was 1/2 players short of winning some silverware?

Well it was widely reported that Kane had asked to leave and then widely reported that Kane had refused to report for training. Kane releases a statement saying that it's not true that he refused to report to training and that he would never do that:
"While I won't go into the specifics of the situation, I want to clarify that I would never, and have never, refused to train."

Never denied wanting to leave though, just refused to go into it. I think most reasonable people would conclude that he did want to leave but had no intention of forcing it.

Big club tings...everyone says they don't care about Spurs but we are always in fans minds.

Just a shame we have a weak chairman who can't arm the club against its enemies with a powerful football team. He thinks F1 and Concerts is bragging rights

I was listening to that Scouse mug Danny Murphy a couple of weeks ago and he was talking about the new season, the way he was talking this season will be a title race between City and his beloved Varpool, he was dismissive of the other clubs and talking as though Varpool will be the only rival to City. This is the kind of positive spin and bigging up that the media love to bestow upon their darlings.

If Spurs suffer any ridicule it's more because of some of their fans than any nationwide media conspiracy.

This article is a good example as it brings more ridicule on Spurs than anything the media has ever written.

If that was the case i think Spurs would be far down on the list of teams to be worried about, no offence.
