Be nice to get back to some sort of upward trajectory.

Club just needs selling

I watched some of Villa v Brentford and the Prem Summer Series thing is proper prep.

We have flown to Aus Tom play West Ham’s b-team (and lose but that doesn’t matter too much), then to Thailand to not play Leicester and then play a pub team from Singapore. We play Donetsk and Barca and then we’re straight in.

We are a shambles
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I fear It’s going to to be long hard painful season as it stands. Yeah we will play some good football but will struggle to win games. Think we will have to win most games 4-3 or 3-2.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think we will be in a relegation battle as things stand
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ATM I will not comment until the final squad is known, but...........I think this comment is probably right!

The pissannoying thing is we're probably dallying over 5-10m. And dropping points in those first few games waiting to sign a CB could cost us Europe next season. Where's Munn? It's just Levy again init. Man needs to be removed from any football responsibilities at the club.

Spurs are close in signing AS Roma CB Roger Ibanez. The deal is very close I think. The deal is worth around £20m with Spurs short by £2m in asking price.

Let's get some Fund Me page going to raise he rest of the money
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No idea who he is never seen him play…….is he any good or better than what we have already
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's a young CB or defensive Midfielder on his way up. As yet not a proven quantity. Has played in a CL match.
Has a little experience in international competition, mainly friendlies for Brazil.
Is he ready for Premier league football.......GOK....Assieglue will have to deal with that!

Exactly the point we cannot mess about with potential they have to be proven CBS and better than we have else no point.

I think Aussieglue is being thrown into the deep end by Levy, and with no life jacket.
He's going to have to deal with a squad that's lacking one or two capable CBs. The Kane situation may still be dragging along. Its not a promising season start.

Good luck to Aussieglue on getting this starting squad to play attacking football.
I'm wondering what Joe Lewis' problems have to do with all of this......he really is in an awful lot of trouble back in NY.

I realised a while ago this club will never achieve anything until Levy and ENIC are gone.

Have since stopped going to games and detached myself from it. Not really followed the transfer news but am not surprised in the slightest we've not addressed the CB issue and the Kane drama rumbles on.

Will watch on TV when i can this season but 20+ years of ENIC have killed my enthusiasm.

That's a shame mate. I shall be going as usual this season, my 64th season at WHL. Spurs are for life with me, whoever is in charge, or whoever plays.

Think today is the day we more or less sell Kane. It will be a nightmare.

If we had got our CBs sorted we might have come out the other side okay. Instead we’re likely heading into the final month of the transfer window needing 2 x CBs, a new striker and possibly a replacement for PEH - depending on whether Sarr is the answer or not.

Tapsoba
VDV
Kessie
Muani

Get those 4 (the most linked replacements) and there will be reason to be hopeful. If it’s more:

Ibanez
Lenglet
A second rate striker from the Eredivisie

Then we are faaaacked

Football clubs are going to go the same way as jobs - difficult to stick with going to one for life. I will always only support Spurs but the costs involved make it less and less sustainable to turn up week in and week out - I fully expect I will have to go watch my local non league side live more often in the future and be more selective on the Spurs games I attend.

I was really looking forward to next season a month or so ago.

New manager who’s positive.
Being linked to top players like Raya, Tapsoba & Maddison while Kane was not for sale.
Clearing out the duds.

Now I’m dreading it.

Signed an unknown and unproven GK, no new CBs & Kane about to leave with no adequate replacement being talked about.
Only sold winks with all the other dude clinging on.

Whu couldn’t levy take the good will he got with appointing Ange and go all out.

No Europe meant we really could’ve focused on the league and domestic cups and would fancied us for one of the early promised happened.

Shame another season lost.

Infuriating isn't it....its already a hard league but we always start it behind the 8 ball....

Be it....Will he won't he leave.( insert current star players name)

Dragging out transfers.

Making do.

Undercooked.

Your right chron...whatever it may be, we are never ready for the start of the season.

As it stands....no new CB's and our start player likely to leave less that 2 weeks before the start of the season.

Ange is probably only Levy`s choice because he came across as a yes man and just glad of the opportunity, after Conte, the last thing Levy wanted was a demanding manager who says it how it is.

Ange has never coached at this level before, which is perfect for Levy as he is unlikely to kick up a fuss being new in a big job and Levy can play him like a cheap fiddle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbh can't imagine an aussie being a yes man....

I agree.
Although I don’t see losing Kane as the disaster a lot of people do. Two weeks left to the start of the season and it is being turned into a disaster though!

Going into the season with the same defence that conceded 64 goals is the biggest disaster

The positive is 1 game a week means we won't be as hampered by Levys stupidity and deceit. New players will get a full wee training with Ange instead of 2 or 1 day a week because we travelling to and from Europe with a rest day thrown in

You either sell Kane early and bring in your first choices like Raya & Tapsoba or you don’t sell him at all.

Anyone that thinks richarlison is good enough to be our main striker is in for a shock. We need another forward too once Kane goes.

So In next two weeks we need once Kane leaves

Striker
Cb x2
& probably a CM to replace Højbjerg

Not looking good

2 x CB
And a DM I’d say.
Then we have a chance of improvement.

Agree with everything you have said Chronic. Apart from Toney. There is nothing to say that Toney will hit the sales heights after a lengthy lay off. Plus the fee won’t reflect that lay off imo.
