I reckon so. A great professional with the club at heart, but not good enough. The modern game has left him behind.

He clearly sees himself as one of the main men at the club and to be fair he’s the last of the old guard, so yesterday must have stung.

Shame he had some decent spells albeit in our better teams but also ended the season before last well.
Unfortunately not quick enough or defensively aware especially in a CB 2 for better football we are now going to play.

I hope he gets a good move, a long with all our other 5 or 6 players who still need to go before window closes FFS

Probably best if he moves on. Last year of his deal, get what we can for him. Ange clearly likes CBs with pace (He has none) and get gets nowhere near the MF. Good player, good servant.

Bit like PEH.... We are moving in a new direction... "thanks for your effort..... Seeya"

He`s too error prone, too slow and takes too long playing out from the back, he`s good in the air and commanding at set pieces but if we are going to be playing a high line then he is a bad fit.

He`s been a good servant but with one year left he should be replaced with a better suited player.

I was happy for him when he played DM for England pity he was not able to develop that role

feel like Dembele and Jan & Toby when he played in defence with them elevated his performances

I feel he’s played his last game for us now, which is good for us as he’s become a liability and wouldn’t be effective in the way Ange wants to play. Sanchez at least has pace and will always be preferred over him as first choice back up (assuming Levy doesn’t do the decent thing and buy a new CB).

Wouldn’t be surprised if he went Saudi, but I reckon he’d do ok for a Moyes or Dyche if he were to go West Ham or Everton. We need to move on from him though, the fact he was squad fodder under Poch when we had better players back in 2016/17/18 but became first choice the last 4 years is endemic of how Levy has failed to successfully regenerate this squad. Is it any wonder our league finishes have become progressively worse.

He’s only stuck around because he’s versatile and the last two managers managers see that. Personally I think Ange has watched him closely seen he’s not fit for the style of play that he wants and wants him gone.

Has West Ham written all over him if you ask me

Eric Dier wants to remain at #Spurs this season but with his contract in its final year and Ange Postecoglou wanting another centre-back to arrive before the window shuts, with Torino's Perr Schuurs among those eyed up, that situation may yet change if Dier drops too far down the pecking order.[@AlasdairGold]

think he needs to go. Sanchez is a better fit for our high line and we have too many non-homegrown players to register them all so chances are he might not be included in the squad if he stays

Keep. Should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Maybe Wolves could sign him to replace Collins. What with the Portuguese connection and stuff..
