England's hero?
Who on earth are you talking about? Jack Wilshere wasn't playing last night!
And anyway, just because these footballers are thugs doesn't mean we all are. You just contradicted yourself!
Attitude stinks to high heaven, absolutely no respect for officials, a liability who will never learn.
What a waste of talent
hang on a minute mate, rooney done wrong,ok not killed anyone and sure the media go overboard, but just 'cos he plays for man u..pls...
john terry, ash cole both hammered by the media....
dear oh dear...
john terry and ass cole both hammered by the media cos they're both prats!!
Yet again rooney let's his own petulant ego and temper ruin the hard work and effort put in by all the other players and staff because as far as he's concerned it's 'I'm alright jack, fu<< you.'
I've lost interest in England until Capello gets the boot. Rooney was a complete idiot for what he did last night, but I didn't really care. Barry's STILL in the middle of the park? Seriously? We're a joke.
I dont read papers anymore for the simple fact that they are all rubbish. Not just the sport, but everything is written with some sort of agenda and it honestly angers me. The press should stay out of peoples private lives and do stuff to help the country, all they do imo is hinder it.
Onto the article written here, it seems hypocritical. Rooney has appeared very chilled this season so i don't know where that kick came from. Maybe it had something to do with his dad, which surely was affecting him in some way. Still thats no excuse as he should leave personal problems of the field.
Anyway, this has given people another chance to have a dig at rooney, something that seems to be one of our nations favourite past times, when they're not having a dig at united.
I was thinking about it yday, who is there to replace barry?
Cleverly perhaps?
Carricks just as dire as barry, hendersons junk.
Were not producing good enough players.

.................
Rooney is the scapegoat and he's made himself an easy target. All the DIRE performances will be now be forgotten in favour of a few cheap pops at Rooney. We will go into the tournament with the media going nuts, the focus will be on Rooney whilst the rest of the team fail again and again and again.

Completely agree, the English love a good scapegoat, its even better when all their hopes are resting on him.

Look for a few midfielders in the championship who can pass a ball forward and who will actualy fight for their chance to play for England.
Easy journalism.... they know the ingurlanders will relish a good article slating Rooney rather than an in depth look into how the team (including Rooney) threw the game away after 35 minutes.
The red card was stupid, but all players have moments of madness.... strange though, I haven't seen any mention of how Rooney was pivotal in our 2 goals
Having a dig at at a selfish pratt who let's everybody else down isn't a pastime, it's a reaction to those actions.
by SuperNintendo Ruiney Shizzle.... suggests looking for a few midfielders in the championship, and personally I agree and to be honest I would go even further and pick the whole squad from there.
Obviously the 'big boys' just lose the passion and commitment.
I'd rather we lost wholeheartedly with players who respect the shirt rather than limply win and draw a few before the inevitable disappointment.

Exactly, my heart sunk when I saw Barry and Milner in the team a couple of game back. I'd much rather have a team of younger players who will jump at the chance to play for their country than these players who just walk into the side because of the name of their shirt.
Im also not best pleases with a midfield of barry and milner, or parker, but who else should play. Wilshere when hes fit but maybe we'l have to accept that we dont have better players than the barrys of this world and that we'll be stuck at this level untill better players are produced.

8-2
The same cleverly who showed up your entire midfield.
Going down like the west ham, down like the west ham
lol you guys need to change the record, we qualified for the euros. most england's fans are as bad as the players
So? With the Group we had that should have been the absolute minimum expectation.
entire midfield with reserve players...
How did you get against swiss giants?
CL group stage games mean nothing. PL games against supposed rivals do.
Reserve or not he ran your midfield. And we smashed you 8-2.
That will be remembered for a long time.
For us that game is like you lost against Marseille.
Cleverly

not bothered, on the day we qualified for the finals and people want to stay on the negative. same old boring stuff... ughh picking players on repuation, ughhh no passion, too much money, nobody cares for the shirt, i'm a better manager than capello, i support the team so i can slate it.
i don't really follow England passionately anymore anyway because most of the fans are morons, but i'll still occasionally have a rant
