Bolton have been linked with Jonson Clarke Harris from Peterborough as a replacement for Dion Charles if he goes. That is unlikely to happen as whispers are Charles is signing a new deal. Likely to be quiet with outgoings more likely. Can John or Sadlier be moved on or will they stay until January. The obvious incoming would be a right wing back as Dacres-cogley hasn't any competition in that spot.

Just been announced that Dion has signed a new long term deal so that should put an end to those departure rumours. Or at least mean we can command more of a fee!

1 extra year at least puts the club in a stronger position to get a fee in January or next summer. Thomason got until 2027 4 years.

That's an odd one for Dion.
If our aim is promotion this season, I can't see him being our main striker in the Championship.
If we achieve the big if promotion, we'll end up selling him cheap to a League 1 club, won't we. Or he could sit on the bench and see out the remainder of his contract.

It's good news that we have the security of an extended contract for Charles. It will work for the club and him.

I was confident of giving Middlesbrough a good game tonight after our good start to the season, but we will just have to wait and see what transpires.
