Im sure his 700k a week tax free will soften the blow to his conscience.

The poor lad was getting to the end of the month, looking at his meagre £800,000 pay packet, which the horrible Government were taking about £350,000 of , and the distress this caused him was affecting his mental health.

He's gone to Saudi for mental health reason. You can do anything in the name of your own mental wellbeing. stay strong Hendo !

I'd guesstimate around 10%. 2 or 3 per squad

Feel sorry for him, treated disgustingly by Klopp, the club and the fans of Liverpool. Their best ever captain and that's how he's treated?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah disgusting, won everything...made captain and allowed to go and earn £700K per WEEK...amnesty international are on the case as we speak I am sure..lol

I don't think so. You've got the guys who are g.ay obviously. Then those with close friends or family who are g.ay. Then those that are just decent people. I'd hope it's higher obviously, but I'm ok with my guess.

Now if you're asking how many of those care enough that they wouldn't take 700k a week tax free to go against those morals.. prolly 80%.

The smart thing for Henderson to do in his situation would be give a decent wedge to LGBTQ charities.

Called this a while ago. I suspect Hendo will reconcile himself with taking money out of that country and making a hefty donation to charity.

He left for money too no doubt, Gerrard will have had an influence too.

Not even sure it makes him a hypocrite. I mean, sm I not slowed to take a contract over there now? Of course I can, and still disagree with some of their laws. It's work.

I'm sure you be just as understanding if the Governement stood buy the Ukrainian people condeming the war, while selling arms to Russia, but giving money and asylum to Ukranian refugees.

A sizable donation would be massively hypocritical and probably rejected.

Making a stand, speaking out, wearing the rainbow stuff....now that's what someone who was true to their beliefs would do. Not have their silence bought and their conscience eased by charitable donations .

He's free to do what he wants But he's a hypocrite whose been bought off. Simple as.

You're nobody tho so in the big scheme of things it makes no odds if you park your beliefs for a short term contract.

The high profile nature of this situation is what is damaging.

Maybe if he actually grew a pair and told the truth people might have an inclining of respect for the poor mite.

He knew he'd get destroyed for being a hypocrite, so did his PR team. Going over there to spread the message is laughable. You'll keep you're mouth shut in front of your paymasters Jordan. THE END. YOU KNOW IT, WE KNOW IT.

Despite feeling abit sorry for yourself in which you'll get no sympathy you don't care at the end of the day, so own it.

You're an average player getting paid more for 2 years work than you've earnt in your entire career. Alot of people would do the same in front of pots of gold.

Grow a backbone and NO, you shouldn't play for England. Another Safegate failing.

If we're honest you've used the word incorrectly so you can get some attention online.

Jordan Henderson is without doubt one of the biggest, smelliest sh!tbags to walk on the face of this earth. I ferrucking despise the ferrucking twatt.

There is a difference between disagreeing with a countries laws and then taking a paycheck to be a Saudi PR mouthpiece.

With how badly this interview went for him, I doubt he has any positive intentions towards donations (unless he is desperate to clean up his PR image)

Doesn't make him a hypocrite IMO as I feel even a LGBTQ person would not turn down that kind of money if offered for a 2-3 years stint in SA.
