What is it with right wing conspiracy weirdos and whattaboutery?

Did they miss the 'Two wrongs don't make a right' chat when they were three years old or something?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From what I understand, Brant is not ring wing. I haven’t seen much of political stuff but I know he wants a total revamp of our political system, less economic disparity and he’s big on climate change.

In fact, I’d say he’s pretty far to the left.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can't be, or They wouldn't be trying to silence him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are only trying to silence his big pharma views. He needs to be in a cell whilst saying those views, but they let him out to spout his climate change nonsense to suit their agenga. Any switch back to criticising the MSM then the cell door key is turned again. It is an exhausting process but worth it for them to simultaneously silence him whilst also using him to promote their agenda.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean, the cynic inside me wonders why tax payers had to fund a product that raked in billions for big pharmaceutical companies...how Bill Gates timed his purchase and sale of shares to perfection after being one of the main protagonists behind pushing the vaccine mandate.

Anybody who dared offer alternate solutions was either silenced or cancelled.

Without getting into a vaccine debate, it all feels very 1984.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I feel so sorry for the likes of Mike Yeadon, Robert Malone and Aseem Malhotra, who were household names before the pandemic, widely recognised as leaders in the field of science and medicine, but who have faded into obscurity and poverty because they were cancelled and silenced after they dared to 'offer alternative solutions'

What? The terrorist said some stuff to mitigate his actions whilst smearing his accusers.

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FVCK.

Not sure what that has to do with what I wrote anyway.

Yeah nato bombed libya. Funded and trained isis to kill gaddafi because he wanted to create the gold dinar. Nato also bombed libyas water infrastructure which made the recent Libyan floods much worse.

A lot has changed since I last looked at this thread but, this story is true and has been covered in the wider corporate media, albeit inadequately and quietly.

It's a classic case of blowback; Britain has a longstanding (and ongoing) collusion with radical Islam as a tool for achieving its strategic goals abroad. This isn't new information and should be widely understood by the public (we have fairly extensive declassified documentation of these policies, for example). The fact that it isn't is essentially down to the corporate media's institutional and systemic inability to report on such issues in a sustained, meaningful and forcing way.

It also should have been a major scandal for Theresa May; she was Home Secretary at the time the 'Manchester Boys' were essentially given safe passage in and out of the UK to fight alongside extremist groups to overthrow Gaddafi in Libya, and she was PM when one of them carried out the Manchester bombing. To my knowledge May have never fielded a single critical question on any of this.

Anyway, just wanted to jump in on that. As you were...

Just watched the documentary and it obviously doesn’t paint Brand in a good light but I felt for its run time a lot of it was cleverly edited with snippets of lewd sexual comments he’s made in jest over the years to pad it out. It was book ended by two serious accusations of assault, but the middle stuff largely focused on him being a womaniser who banged competition winners or birds from the audience or production company employees on a continual basis at the peak of his fame, with a lot of moaning about a culture of misogyny that existed at the time and how these women shouldn’t be treated as disposable objects etc. And while that may be true, firstly it’s not Brands fault that such a culture existed and he was facilitated to have infinite bunk ups, and there’s no suggestion that any of that was non-consensual or with underage girls. So, while some may not like it there’s nothing illegal about it - thankfully being a womanising misogynist isn’t a crime, and it very much felt like a character attack a lot of the time when is that sort of behaviour any different to rock stars banging groupies? Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger banged literally thousands of young birds who were offered up on tap during the 60’s and they are both knights of the bloody realm.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not defending him or being an apologist for him, I’m ambivalent toward the man and if Brand has done a rape or two then he should be convicted and punished for it absolutely. But at the moment it’s just accusations, and while you could say lots of women don’t have the courage to report these things at the time you can also say that men’s lives can - and have - been ruined by false, exaggerated or malicious accusations so we should always err toward innocent until proven guilty no matter whether we like the fella or not, and also never accept trial by media.

If he has done what he is accused then it is totally wrong and he will be punished. Seems like innocent until proven guilty no longer exists if you have views which are controversial, or you are black or Muslim. Just look at Benjamin Mendy and his character assassination. I've seen this playback far too many times so let's see what transpires.

Remember when he had Lefty views everyone was loving him but now he's gone the other way and the allegations come out. Hmm.

Brand still has very lefty views

- Being against big pharma and their influence on government, which led to forcing everyone to get the vax and not letting people have body autonomy

- Being against war and military industrial complex who again influences government.

- Being against big corporations like BlackRock, Vanguard, Amazon who undermine the common small businesses, the biggest wealth transfer from the poor/middle class to the super rich/elite happened during covid

Problem is the mainstream media equate these as right wing views and they are not.

Regardless of race guilty until proven innocent is how it is now due to the woke and pc brigade!

Don’t get me wrong if he has committed these crimes he needs to be punished, however he’s been punished already by charities and companies dropping him and if he’s found innocent he’ll still be punished because all these charities and companies won’t take him back on.

If sponsors want to drop him they can. If YouTube do, then they can. That's up to them.

He can start his own video sharing channel if he likes and talk absolute shiiiiiiiiiiiiit on there instead. Absolutely no-one is stopping him.

If he actually had a product and talent, rather than be an attention seeking cuuuuuuunt, then his career would not be so easily undone.

---------------------------------

Whilst this is true it's also wrought with dangers.

For example, the young women in the link below had her business destroyed, her child's welfare impacted and herself driven to suicidal ideation off the back of what turned out to be a total fabrication published in the Mail on Sunday (incidentally, Charlotte Wace who worked on this report also worked in the Brand story - though I'm genuinely not saying that means anything in this specific case).

You could easily say, "well, nothing stopped her starting another business!" or "she could have started a business elsewhere!" or "she could have just got a job" or...

https://bylinetimes.com/2020/02/25/the-beautician-and-the-beast-danielle-hindley-v-the-mail-on-sunday/

Russell Brand won't go skint from having his videos demonetized on YT. But someone else in a less financially strong position might just, such as Danielle Hindley, off the back of allegations that remain untested where it matters.

YT and so on are indeed able to do as they please, but that doesn't mean what they do is correct or fair. In this case it's really just a PR move to be seen to be doing something.

I'd read the article a few hours before the Dispatches show and felt mostly the same. The article seemed pretty good (obviously, I can't substantiate the claims in it!), but the program was mostly padded out with stuff that wasn't criminal and was already known. Much of it was condemned at the time. For such a long episode I wasn't particularly impressed.

I'll reserve judgement on the matters until more evidence is available but the article in the the Mail is much better than the Dispatches show.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure it's just that though. Controversy has followed him around for a long time, he's built his career upon it, and been sacked a few times. I mean when he was ringing up old men on live radio to say he'd fvcked his grand daughter he wasn't too worried about his reputation then.

He's made his bed, fvcked pretty much everything going in it, and now it's come back to bite him.

That's the media life, vacuous and temperamental, and if you court controversy it'll likely get you in the end.

They're extremely serious allegations and there's a lot of them. I saw a channel four aide say they were asked to source young women for him in the audience and then pass his number to them. That's not someone crying rape.

This is no different to what Schofield did and sponsors don't want to be associated with such people... that's their prerogative.

posted on 20/9/23

Also, he's not beren ditched by YouTube fwiw, they're just not letting him use their service and that's up to them.

Robbing I don’t think you’re quite getting my point here!

I’m not just on about Brand! I’m on about how things are in general when allegations are made!

We’re turning into a society where people are deemed guilty of the allegations before an investigation has taken place just appease people and unfortunately mud sticks even if they’re innocent!

I personally don’t like Brand at all but we’re gonna have to wait for an investigation and see what comes of it!

It's always been like that though, it's not a new phenomenon. I also think it's worth noting that in situations like this, where there are a huge smount of accusers, how often does it turn out that they're innocent.

It's not like he's lost his job anyway, he doesn't have one.

He was found not guilty, yes.

Played with fire didn't he.

Unfortunately which accused by multiple people of rape, after throwing numerous cex parties (something that Mendyvopenly admitted), there's a chance that you may get turned over.

Is it right? Probably not, but it's not trial by media that got him in that situation, it was a trial in a criminal court due to his actions.

He's also playing top flight football again.
