Another excellent win for Spurs yesterday

Yes the anti Spurs punditry was truly laughable, it was to be expected though when we are playing their darlings Varpool. The likes of Scouseknapp, Dogleashes daughter etc being wheeled out just reinforces the incessant Mouser love in.

Spurs have taken a lot of stick, but this is the best I've seen them since Poch in the 2016/17 season.

It's very early days, but I think you'll be up there this season. Clearly, getting past City is going to be tough, and Liverpool are re-emergent, but I think top four is realistic.

Sonny & Madders were carrying injuries. hopefully Bissouma is okay after that Jones challenge.
Those upcoming games can be much harder with a growing injury list.

Delighted with the result, 3 points is 3 points BUT let’s be honest we used our get out of jail free card last night.

1st red card was harsh - a yellow maybe, for the 2nd red - again harsh as the players 1st yellow was dubious.
And as for the offside goal - he was clearly onside.
And we needed an unlucky own goal to beat 9 men, but I guess you could argue that Arsenal only drew last week cos of Romero’s deflection.

As much as I like winding up the JA scousers, Liverpool were robbed of 2 points yesterday through a system which isn’t fit for purpose - VAR

Still history has recorded another win and 3points for us

Every week should be treated like a cup final.

Leicester and Chelsea managed what they did with no European football. I am hoping this plays into our hands and we can at least stay there or thereabouts come May.

Big Ange has been a breathe of fresh air!

I strongly disagree with a lot of this. Liverpool were robbed of a goal, not three points. There's no way to know how that would have affected the end result, with a huge amount of the game still left to play. Klopp even said as much.

If the red cards were wrong, they'll be overturned - yet I guarantee they won't be. Because the decisions were correct.

Liverpool were also gifted a free kick which led to their goal - even though Udogie cleanly won the ball.

The ref got some bits wrong, but it's not the injustice it's being painted out to be.

To be fair Jota should have seen a yellow before the the first one and he has nobody else to blame for the second. Jota was dumb and he needs to take responsibility for that one. Who knows how the game unfolds if the Dias goal was judged correctly its not simply a case of adding 1 goal to the final score.

Are you drunk? Explain to me why Jones tackle on Bissouma was “a yellow, maybe” when he’s gone over the top of the ball studs up into Biss’s mid-shin. He was reckless and out of control, it was dangerous play and a potential leg breaker. Blatant red.

Liverpool have only got themselves to blame!

They were unlucky with the offside goal but the other decisions were all correct.

Idiotic of Jota to dive in on a yellow card and he was no where near the ball.

Jones didn't mean it on Bissouma but it could have broken his leg so its a red.

They can definitely feel hard done by having played so well with 9 men and then scoring an own goal in the last minute but to say they were robbed is a little far fetched.

As for Spurs we did struggle against 9 men but for us it is a learning curve, however under Ange we just keep plugging away and you can see the spirit in the team is just so good at the moment.

We got extremely lucky yesterday, there's no 2 ways about it. Our defending at times could have led to more goals for Pool and in terms of attacking threat, we didn't pose too much until they had a player sent off. Even then they still carried a threat though.

We have been on the wrong end of some very bad officials decisions in the past so it's good to be on the right side for once, but if I was a Liverpool fan I'd be fuming about that. I'm sure the usual suspects will still say that the officials were working for Liverpool though.

The Jones red card, was a red card all day long… it may have been unintentional… but he clearly went over the ball & onto Bissouma’s leg… luckily Bissouma wasn’t seriously injured…

Red card all day long

Jota was just stupid… you don’t tackle like that on a yellow card

The offside goal was clearly onside… a bit of payback for that ridiculous penalty, in the CL final.

The bias from Redknapp & Neville was a disgrace… & very unprofessional.

Good on Townsend do sticking up for us… the annoyance on Redknapp’s face, gave me pleasure!

That’s inevitable though. The game plan against Liverpool wouldn’t have been to try to play around a low block but the events of the game threw game plans out of the window. Our best players were playing with injuries and had to go off. We were playing very well at 11v11 but the red cards changed the dynamic of the game for both teams.

Except if we went 1-0 up it's a completely different game and we have absolutely no idea if Jota still gets sent off.

Spurs produced very few clear cut chances even against 9 men.

The Jones one, whether it's a red or not, is still an unlucky moment. It's one of those where if the rules apply then it's a red but then the rule probably isn't correct in the first place, like the dubious handball rule.

Agree we don't know what would have happened but it was very early on in the game so it is hard to predict.

One decision went against liverpool and they then imploded with ill discipline.

Mighty, disagree with pretty well all that. The first Red was studs up halfway up the shin, and the 2nd red was two clear yellow cards.

Yes Liverpool had a goal ruled out, which probably shouldn`t have been, but then they got their goal from a freekick which wasn`t a foul. Which evened up. Also I thought VVD was marginally offside when he headed the ball back across the box for Gakpo to score. Nobody seems to have picked that up.

And no Liverpool did not drop two points.

Yeh Redknapp was sick as a parrot that Spurs won, you could see it was written all over his face.

I really do wish we would see some completely unbiased commentators and pundits like Brian Moore and Ken Wolstenholme. Sucking off Liverpool and Man City 24/7 is so irritating.

Complete nonsense, despite everything against them they played very well and stayed extremely disciplined.

Don't think we were at our best yesterday, but impressive to put teams away when you're not firing on all cylinders.

Scousers were unlucky with the offside goal, but have nothing else to complain about. Very poorly disciplined team, no doubt stemming from their arrogant manager.

Not being biased fella. The ref got everything right, other than the offside goal, and giving Liverpool a freekick which wasn`t, which led to their goal.

If not for Allison, the post and and some last ditch defending, it would have probably been 4-1 or more.

Best team won.

Yes, Spurs were definitely not at their best, but still ground out a win against a side they have not recently done well against. So no complaints from me.

Sandy, VVD wasn't offside for their goal. I actually thought the same on first viewing but on one of the angles you can see he's clearly inside.
