I know you all blame the Glazers for everything but who is the CEO - The person who hires the manager and DoF, is it one of the Glazers?

Genuine question.

Richard Arnold.

I think it's Joel Glazer who has the final sign off on these things but I imagine Avram also has a say

Nipe. Its Richard Arnolds ultimate decision.

Anyway point I'm getting at is, why sign Onana if the style of football doesn't necessitate him? Could've been a forward or creative player like Eze. I think that decision is getting overlooked.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the current set up United could well have signed Sancho, Haaland, Rice, Maddison & had Pep in charge and they’d still be top 6 at best right now. Managers are not the issue to an EXTENT.

Yes ETH has been given huge amounts and his head will roll because that’s what many will call for but it’s very unlikely the next guy in will do any better with what’s going on out of his control.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolute drivel.

I don't want another manager sacked because it will not solve anything long-term, we'll just see a new manager bounce then a massive drop off. The new manager will inherit an imbalanced squad, etc, etc. All too familiar.

Let's get to January, let's hope ETH is still here and backed in the market to plug gaps and weaknesses in defence and wide areas. Let's also get rid of some deadwood, starting with Sancho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah. More money and more manager signings. That will fix it.

Just seeing that Rangers have sacked Beale after their poor start to the season.

Three defeats in seven games, seven points behind Celtic...

I don't want to see ETH sacked but things are definitely heading that way for him too.

If you look at the games we have before Christmas there's definitely more miserable defeats coming.

City H
Liverpool A
Newcastle A
Newcastle H (cup)
Bayern H

We could easily lose all those games and that's not even scratching the surface.

Back to square one is definitely a possibility. If that happens under the Glazers and not new owners then I fear for the future.

Just get Fat Sam in and be done with it. Greatest manager alive so he says.

You are putting a lot of faith in the footballing knowledge of any potential new owners.

City aside, our next 6 league games are Rey favourable. If he can’t take 13 points from those fixtures, he should go.

Crystal Palce at home was on that list last week as a very favourable home banker too.

The fixtures would be favourable if we had our first team available and we had some form and confidence.

But with 5 defenders all unavailable and a front 5 completely out of sync and out of form there's no such thing as a favourable game for us right now.

He could easily be gone before that Everton game.

I wonder how far Arnold/Glazers will let United capitulate (if indeed we do) over the next couple of months before they call enough is enough. I mean United would look seriously stupid if the sacked Ten Hag after one and a bit seasons. And to do so they would have to have a replacement lined up. And I cant see anybody with credibility wanting to take over under the Glazers after ETH. Wonder if they are already putting feelers out for his successor.

What a facking mess.

I think if ETH is to lose his job then it should be under the next owners.

Can the Glazers even afford to sack him anyway? We are skint and paying him off and getting another coach in who might be in a job themselves would be very expensive and I doubt they want another Rangnick episode.

It is a bleeding mess but we shouldnt be surprised anymore. Everything this club does turns to the brown stuff.

I want them out. In fact I wish for more than that on that awful family but that's for another day.

What is it the owners have been doing so badly between May and now to see us performing so badly on the pitch?

Disagree with this view to be honest. The manager has spent a shtload on particular players that have not helped him.

I feel for him inheriting a lot of the kak we have but Antony, Mount, etc are his choices and that's roughly 130m wasted.

He is not completely blameless.

ETH had a very good first season, and been backed with another fortune this Summer, so what is it the owners have done so very wrong since May to see us so bad?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn’t really spend a fortune, Spurs, Arsenal, City, Chelsea all spent more and we shifted a fair few from the squad for peanuts.

We signed 3 players. I’d argue we could’ve spent it better though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Onana, Turkish GK, Regulion, Amrabat, Mount, Hjojlund.

Thats hardly a thrifty window.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two loans, and as I said, there are sides spendings more. How do you expect us to catch up with Arsenal and City when they’re spending more than us?

Maybe some good coaching, motivating the players and having some decent tactics ?
