Facking Hwang. Was about to say he had been poor but yet again he follows play and gets in the right position. Rare we have seen that in recent years from anybody

He does seem to collect yellow cards for fun, wouldn’t mind but they are all for little trips not hard tackles.

Refs at it again, second yellow Lemina, grabbed the shirt, very soft.

Messy game. The red never had a grip on it. Neto should have scored really. Point each fair I’d say.

McGinn would have been sent off today if he played for Wolves.

What to do about Lemina? You want him to carry on being just as competitive, but he always looks likely to get a yellow card. 6 in 8 games. At this rate 20+ yellows is on the cards. Pun deliberate.

Given the fixtures I’m OK with 8 points and 14th place going into the international break.

Think a draw was about right in the end and I’d be happy with a point.

Terrible game in the first half. Bad tempered, lost of stoppages and the kind of game that’s always possible when both sides are looking to play on the breakaway. All the half seemed to be played within thirty yards of the halfway line and no fluency from either side.

Better after the break, livened up by the goals. First time we got the ball to Neto to run at the full back and he skinned him and set up the Korean goal machine. So disappointing then to concede an equaliser immediately. We do need to stop having players sent off, because Villa pushed hard for the winner in the 12 minutes added on.

Couple of top saves from Sa, we didn’t get Neto in the game enough but he caused problems when we did, and Cunha worked his socks off. Traore again excellent from the bench and Sasa had some good moments too. Kilman man of match for me with Dawson close behind.

Followed a small group of villa fans back down Waterloo Road after the game, the one in a McGinn shirt got a little big on to catch the stopped traffic at the zebra crossing, "well done for staying on your feet there mate" I said loud enough for him to hear. Got some garbled brummie nonsense back in return 😃.

“We do need to stop having players sent off”

The club are missing a trick not having a suggestion box outside the ground.

4 from the top 6, with Spurs and Newcastle looming. Happyish so far.

Yeah 4 points from the last two games is 4 x times what we could have reasonably hoped for. A little unbeaten run too developing with every chance we can extend it at Bournemouth.

With villa setting up similar to us it was always going to tight and after an early spell when Villa were probably on top it evened out but was pretty scrappy. We probably had more of the ball in the second half up to the sending off at least, great work again from Neto almost a carbon copy of the first last week, yet another goal for Hwang and we're flying, for twenty seconds. Unprofessional really to concede so quickly and hand the momentum straight back but we held them at bay, Sasa put one on a plate for Neto to wrap it up but wasn't to be and we were hanging on at the end. Not sure what Lemina was supposed to do, Villa were shat housing all over the place going down under any contact and the ref of course kept buying it. Fair result though and a correct prediction for a change

Saw a bit of the Arsenal Man City game. Kovacic committed two fouls both of which were far worse than Lemina’s. Non Man City players could easily have been given a straight red for both of them, he got a yellow and a nothing. Says it all.

Looks like we softened up Man Cheaty for Arsenal.
