Everton?

In relation to Spurs, I don't think Everton are perceived to be one of the big clubs at the moment. They were never part of a big 5 or 6 the way Spurs have been for the best part of the last decade. They've been mid-table or lower for the same duration of time so majority of fans of big clubs and media don't pay them the same attention. The bigger you are seen to be the more likely you are to be ridiculed for failings. That's just how it goes.

I criticise them quite a lot tbf

Its about time they go down, shame as theyve been easy points for us for years but they simply havent deserved prem football for years now and have been extremely fortunate theres been 3 worse teams each year. If they go this year it'll be long overdue.

Think even their own fans would agree with that too, fortunately for them the 3 promoted teams all look like theyre going straight back down.

They don't? There's been many a piece on them on Monday night club - not as many as the big 7 but that's kind of inevitable - more features than, for example , Fulham or Aston Villa.

This is fairly easy to explain I think.

It is more to do with how Tottenham supporters behave, which is in stark contrast to how Everton fans do.

Spurs fans are arrogant, demeaning and belittling. Not to mention delusional.

Take this season for example, a relatively easy start and their fans think they're winning the league. They won't finish in the top 6! They really have been poor in so many games i've seen, only to be bailed out by pure luck or terrible defending. We battered them in the first game, yet the referee handed them the match. Not to mention, we weren't even fit.

Everton fans are very humble, polite and easy to get along with as fellow football fans.

Funnily enough if you ever go to Liverpool, you will be amazed at how nice Everton supporters are compared to fans of Liverpool Football Club.

I would say Liverpool FC fans are possibly the nastiest bunch of the lot; aggressive, cult-like and almost desperate to get violent just because you don't support their team or come from their city. Awful people. They stink of bitterness.

I've left the footie forum. I just cannot stand the fact that Spurs fans are behaving so arrogantly right now. Why are the media on their knees for your new manager? What's he done?? Started the season well??? I think you'll find Paul Jewell and even Phil Brown have done that. I really cannot stand Tottenham at all... I'm a bit triggered by it all! You're acting like Leicester City fans should've done, and would've been justified to, in May 2016... yet it's not even the end of October!

Ridiculous deluded fans.

Tbf the media were on their knees for both of those managers at the time.

For example, my friend's daughter is a mascot tonight at Old Trafford. It will be a terrific experience for her, as well as his family. A really proud moment.

Contrast that to Liverpool...

Would anyone really allow their son or daughter to be a mascot at Anfield? You genuinely wouldn't be a good parent if you were to allow them into such a dangerous environment, with such extremist fans, at such a young age. They wouldn't be safe.

OP, in relation Everton, since Moyes left them, they have been pretty much on down hill spiral. Sadly they used to be a giant of English first division.. Their demise has been gradual with some spectacular moments too

Because literally nobody cares about Everton?

They should be on the phone to the Qatari's that pulled out of United.

Them, Villa and West Ham are the clubs outside the usual challengers for CL spots that have the potential to become serious players.

Well Moyes didn't win them a bean. I know he got them CL qualification once but if memory serves they failed to qualify for the group stages which is the only time an English side has lost in the preliminary rounds.

Agree that it has been gradual as in they have gone from mid table a decade ago and then pretty much downwards year on year.

Just surprises me that Spurs get so much agg when Everton are left alone. Perhaps that is down to the London-centric media who ignore most teams (other than Liverpool, Utd and City) north of Watford.

Newcastle are another big team who get away with being consistently sheet without much criticism (ok not now so much.)

Everton were one of the country's biggest teams.

Sadly when they peaked back in the eighties, their progress was halted by the behaviour of Liverpool fans who got all clubs banned from Europe because of their neanderthal fans.

Everton never been the same since.

They've been going through the same cycle for years now, and the fans seem to turn on the managers very quickly or straight away in Big Sam's case.

They remind me of the spiral Villa went through, but it looks like Villa are doing more than okay now.

Agree that Everton have vast potential which is why it is so odd that they get away with being so bang average season on season.

I salute their excellent supporters as it must be tough supporting them as they don't even put on much of a show when they play their neighbours twice a year.
