It's all the Glazors fault
It's clearly not good enough at United currently. Not even annoyed at losing tonight but we didn't really give it a proper go. Bayern cruised.
If Ten Hag does go then I don't think he could have any complaints. Perhaps the club was waiting on Europe before pulling the trigger? There is a few days before Anfield now if they did want to do something.

I don't think they'll do it but if they did they do have time. Just have someone taking the team for that game and then get the interim.
Obviously the club right now is in an awful place and ETH has to take responsibility for failing to make a better go of it. The framing of his Ajax teams as underperforming in Europe is false though, and reliant on circular logic. He elevated Ajax to way above its recent level. Got them to a position where losing a CL semi-final was disappointing. So you're berating him for that but not crediting him for building a team that knocked out Real and Juve and therefore might have been expected to do better against Spurs. Then failing to mention that on the back of that his side was gutted and he had to rebuild a totally new side, which he set up with distinctly different tactics, and had them performing spectacularly in the group stages. Again, no recent Ajax or Dutch club had performed remotely that well in Europe, and it was only because of that elevated standard that losing in the next round was a bit of a let-down. And I watched that Benfica match: however they were rated, Benfica were an excellent, and a very streetwise side, and it was a very tight tie that could have gone either way. Ajax dominated possession and created more shots. They'd have won away in Portugal but for a Haller own goal and Darwin Nunez's superior finishing was the difference in Amsterdam.
By all means draw your conclusions about ETH at United, but this Ajax failure revisionism seems like a narrative in search for some additional material.

The most goals ever conceded in the group stage by a PL side.
19/20 - Goes out in group stage
20/21 - Goes out in group stage
21/22 - Wins all the group games and look awesome. Crash out in the next knockout round to lowest ranked side in competition
23/24 - Finish bottom of CL group with (I think) our lowest ever points total in CL history.
