- Bit more confident about us after the last two games as we've actually created good chances. Most of our play this season has been mundane and boring and 5 goals without reply over the last two games (albeit one against an absolutely dugmeat Livi side) is a much needed improvement over what we've had previously
- That being said I still think we are a million miles off where we need to be, and Rangers come into the game on a fat better run of form (including a win this evening) with a cup and Europe after Cirmbo already in the bag.
- CCV taken off as a precaution? If he's out for the weekend pendulum massively swings away from us - Welsh and any other CB not had anywhere enough match time recently and I think he'd be inclined to pick Welsh over any of the other two CBs.
- Reckon it'll be a close scoring affair with BTTS. Feel like Rangers have the edge purely on confidence just now. Whoever wins this will most likely go on and win the title.
You have almost your full team back, at the weekend it seems that you were only Hatate away from that being your strongest first team. Couple that with you playing at home then you still are the favourites. You also seem to be able to get up for big games its the consistency your seem to be missing.
We just have so many players out to be confident going to Sharkheid.
Agreed I think bookies will put as favourites purely on home advantage. Although as you say we've not found much consistent form at all this season.
Yet to win 3 games in a row... be a good time to start that trend this weekend
Awful OF game incoming I reckon, Celtic ruining the game this season by first refusing tickets to Ibrox and then banning all rangers fans against SPFL rules. SPFL ruled in favour Rangers but Celtic still being juvenile and throwing the toys out the pram.
Rangers team decimated with injury and really should be seeking to get the match postponed like our rivals did a few seasons ago, I guess we are always the bigger man with these things.
As I predicted the 3 goal win yesterday I shall predict a wave of "I'm sorry Brendan" articles after you sneak 1 goal win with a dodgy 113th minute penalty.
I think it's sad that Celtic have ruined the match by banning away fans. Just because Rangers kept pumping us rotten in our ain midden and they celebrated in front of our fans, making us sick.

In fairness the 800/700 whatever it is allocation is a farce and there is obvious safety concerns about it with folk having been hit with bottles etc.
The European allocation makes sense to me - Rangers seem dead set it'll never go back to the previous numbers and Celtic have no interest in the small allocation for obvious reasons - so surely the Euro allocations are good numbers and a sensible compromise.
Now that I say the last part it's obvious it won't happen...
It will be a low quality scrappy game as both teams are poor ,hoping home advantage will swing it for us though
On another note.....I'm sick of this winter break $hite
All it does is cause fixture congestion
It's also daft that it's only the top league that has it, ie the clubs that play at the best stadiums where there is less chance of the weather causing disruption....while all the other leagues continue playing, it's nonsense
I'd far rather they got rid of it, but I don't see it happening...I've therefore had another idea
See if they insist on having a winter break, see in the weekend right in the middle of that break....why not bring back the Tennents Sixes??
It's indoor, can't get called off, another wee trophy up for grabs and could help keep players match fit

I tend to take the bro his kid, my dad, her dad etc.... to Ibrox for a meal during the winter break every year. Gonna do the museum tour along with it this year, so personally I really it.
Celtic have two massive advantages being at home and having an extra 24 hours rest.
Would be tempted to rest a couple players tonight given how many injuries we have. No idea how Dowell and Sterling will hold up given number of games played in a short time after not playing at all.

Well aye. But that’s all done now so unless we have a Tardis, it’s moot.
The clubs need to get together to sort this out. Rather than childish pandering, positive and genuine engagement is what’s needed. So both of them fvcking up.
BTW I don’t think that will happen. Both clubs market themselves with this kind of divisive nonsense.
The safety concern is absolutely legit though how big is a matter of opinion.
If there was 1 fan it would be a massive concern.
If there were 10 fans it would still be a massive concern.
100 and it is a major concern.
1000 and concerns begin to recede but not eliminated.
The appropriate number is a matter of opinion.
If it was safety concerns in a theatre the licensing approach would be there must be next to no concern - if Laudrup were still here I'm sure he'd support this. Both clubs have a duty of care. Remember Celtic have tried the <1000 fans a few times now. A significant number of those getting tickets are staff and they would be feeding back how was the experience. I think safety first is a decent mantra. Sure Rangers can have a different opinion on what a safe number would look like and both clubs will have their own vested interests. The polis will have a view too and I fully expect they would support Celtic in safety first. There's a reason most of the derby day assaults are away from the ground.

I dont understand how the number of fans co-relates with the likeliness of an idiot to throw something at them?
besides we have the nets now to prevent that
Should also be noted that Hearts cut Celtics ticket allocation at Tyne castle, so Celtic retaliated by cutting theirs at Celtic Park, think their allocation was less than 600
No safety concerns raised by anyone....allocation still offered
So as said...load of bollox
Time to put the dummy back in
wit the nets we already have, the corner is safer than the full stand..... you can easily throw stuff at the stand from the main stand or govan stand very easily if an idiot wanted to do that, we cnnot prevent that from happening .
We can prevent the fans in the corner being hit by such objects.
I dont understand how the number of fans co-relates with the likeliness of an idiot to throw something at them?

wit the nets we already have, the corner is safer than the full stand..... you can easily throw stuff at the stand from the main stand or govan stand very easily if an idiot wanted to do that, we cnnot prevent that from happening .
We can prevent the fans in the corner being hit by such objects.

I dont understand how the number of fans co-relates with the likeliness of an idiot to throw something at them?
