Maddison is also due to return with the next two weeks
all looking good

Our transfers incoming may be a little wild whereas outgoings look better with PEH and Reggie certs to be sold on.

Of vdV is on the bench for Burnley imagine the boost it will give our fans and players

In other good news Cameroon have allowed Onana to play against us 24 hours before Cameroon played their AFCON opener.

We just need a draw against them

Very strange and very iffy that West Ham were unable to play Kudus on Jan 2nd yet Onana could turn out for Utd on the 14th. There should be a cut off day that all clubs have to abide by to keep things fair.

Once again football is a multi billion pound industry run by idiots and as a side issue how desperate does it make Utd look?

We should be happy though, the bloke is bang average and has a load of errors in him - he might also be semi distracted by his imminent departure.

I agree that he's bang average (so far) but you can guarantee the facker will have the game of his life on the 14th.

However putting Onanas ability to one side it's ridiculous that we don't have the luxury of picking our African players on the 14th and they do. It's the equivalent of Pickford turning out for Everton 24 hours before Englands opening group match at the Euros.

I believe when they signed Onana he had completely fallen out with the Cameroon coach and there was an understanding he wouldn’t be called up - which has now changed. I believe that is why their FA have been more amenable on allowing him to play.

I do agree though - they should have said Jan 2nd no one can play. In fact I would like to see them go further and say no eligible player can play for the duration of the tournament whether their side is knocked out early or not - that would be the fairest outcome.

Clearly not otherwise Onana wouldn’t be able to play against us

There clearly isn't but in the interests of fairness there should be.

When different rules apply to different clubs within the same competition integrity is lost. Just like the ridiculous situation in the FA Cup that means some games have VAR and some don't. It should be all or nothing.
