Some questions/points

1. Ed Dawes is on Twitter, he took a lot of personal abuse for calling the scheming Yank out saying he was a liar.

2. I can’t really remember chants until the 70’s so don’t know. Most fans copy other teams chants though.

3. Scrap VAR. It is still down to the interpretation of individuals, who invariably make mistakes. I’d rather fall foul of the ref’s interpretation made in real time, as opposed to someone taking ages reviewing and still getting it wrong.

4. The hand ball rule was over complicated. Go back to the 60’s when it had to be deliberate, again the new rules have made it worse because it’s a lot more subjective as to what’s a natural/unnatural position of a players arm.

5. Everton definitely justified, they were around 250 million over. They had loans against the stadium, covid etc allowed and still came nowhere near close to staying in the guidelines. It’s only highlighted because they are in the Prem.

6. Yes, it’s all a sh*tshow.

1. Ed unfortunately has been struggling with mental issues and signed off sick from Radio Derby. I don't think his issues were helped by a group of Derby boo boys targeting him on social media with abuse.

He's missed by me as I like listening to him and his thoughts usually align with my own regarding the club.

Speedy recovery!

2. Cant comment

3. VAR is an abomination, it's absolutely ruined my love for PL football with it's approach. I initially agreed with it but season after season, it's become a bore , not applied what it was meant for and spoiled the flow.

Looking back I now feel a referees final decision
( good/bad) should be the way rules are applied and in pantomime style they're either the good guy or bad guy.

This process means every I'd hiding behind the camera.
( Side note: Feel for Wolves, never thought I'd say that, as on three separate occasions they've been penalised incorrectly due to VAR. Earlier in the season when beating Man Utd and I think again Vvs one if the top sides.

4. Yes , penalties are given far too easily or not consistently enough if that particular rule is to be administered. Everyone in the game dislikes it, it's an awful rule and needs to be adjusted to hand hitting the ball deliberately.

5. Feel for Everton but not Forest. FA have obviously decided to pick a club and make them the scapegoat. Okay go for Chelsea given their overspending during Roman's era and now under US ownership.

Go for City given their wild spending and the term I find hilarious ' financial doping.'

No Everton are going to be made an example of, TWICE. FA gone for the easiest way out to flex their authority and come out looking weak.

Everton should be punished not denying that but Chelsea and City were due their ' chickens come home to roost' period first.

Their financial muscle and political sway means they're keeping the FA at bay. They'll get a minimal points penalty and a huge fine that will be suspended.

Don't know if this is true...or spoof :
League 1 news

Derby County have had a bid accepted for Charlton Athletic for forward Corey Blackett-Taylor

The rams bid is around 600k for the 26 year old who has made 81 appearances scoring 18 for the addicks since 2021

3. Scrap it. Scrap it. SCRAP IT.

4. Apply common sense not the letter of the law. A penalty usually means a goal so I think that the bar should be higher when it comes to giving a decision. I think it should only be given when there is intent to handle the ball, as used to be the case.

5 Don't know enough about the detail really.

6. Let the super ricH clubs clear off and play in their own franchise league in Saudi, swapping their players each year like the IPL. The rest of us can enjoy competitive football.

Thanks for all the comments folks and I agree with most of them.

Sorry to hear about Ed Dawes. Anonymous abusers are trash.

Can't find the Charlton offer reference Terry.

I've seen the Twitter rumour but the source is dubious.

He would be a great signing IMO.

Another, albeit new, question: has JJ actually signed yet? There have been plenty of suggestions that signing was imminent but I have seen no official confirmation.

Possibly a Friday bonanza with the announcement of JJ and Charlton's CBT.

JJ has.

The last article I've seen is that JJ is to renew, if I've missed it could somebody share confirmation that the loan has officially been extended please? Not seen it on Derby County's website.

Following transfer links forwarded on to me :

Apparently a scout was at Barnsley game watching Dervante Cole (out of contract in summer) and Moxon from Carlisle.
I'm not familiar with Lewis-Potter but as he has a double barrel name we have to be interested!

Warne was at Wolves V Brentford watching Lewis-Potter (not heard of him)

----------------------------------

Moxon has been described as a creative midfielder.
Devante Cole I see joining a Championship club.

Seen bits of Lewis-Potter. Like Cole, I'd be surprised if he goes to a Lg1 club.
Liked the look of Moxon during Carlisle's playoff games last season. He'd suit nicely imo 🤔

Exciting . Lots of double-barrelled players which are invariably the best
