yeah it cost us the league IMO, we had a title run in to the end during that also that led us to just running out of steam, lost the league and the cup final.
If we DO win tonight, then the cup final is on the 25th and we play on the 23rd so more upheaval
A tough period coming up for the team. Ridiculous fixture congestion which the winter break has done the opposite of what it was made to do and has actually increased the work load on the team.

There is a lot of quality there.
Imo, how we compete is the most important point at the moment.As it has been said on here by numerous sound voices.
The squad is where it is, but the players available should be able to put a shift in and compete.
? if Boro can, surely our highly rated group of young players can likewise.
As far as Villa, and Liverpool are concerned it is a learning curve, as long as we give them a proper game in think that is the best we can expect tbf.

casadei and moreira, unproven, sterling crap, caicedo been crap, enzo sports hernia, noni and mudryk still raw.
and you haven't even mentioned strikers because we dont have any
The players we do have available have cost the club about 600m
Fully expect us to have enough tongiht, although cup upsets happen all the time (especially at 1 down).
But the villa and liverpool games I can't see us getting much at all.

Imo, this season is what it is, the club will have to live with the consequences its decision making.
On the pitch, well as long as what we have does progress in terms of experience and team building that is a plus.
Poch ? there has been so many distractions regarding our injury list and lack of depth im not certain how to gauge his progress, i suppose we wait until May, and see where we are.
I agree with you about poch, on one hand we are playing our best football since early tuchel days, on the other, cbs at full back, chillwell at lw and repeated play of sterling are real black marks against his name.

but it does demonstrate you've had 10 days rest before hand.
2 games a week for 2 weeks, it's hardly earth shattering stuff after 10 days off
your looking at it wrong.
So I have never done a marathon in my life.
But if I do 2 in a week it will be tough.
It would still be 2 marathons my whole life, But would be 2 in a week.
cmon you're not this dense normally.
Also teams have a summer break, then how would you feel if spurs had 5 games in 10 days.
Would still be 5 games in 10 days. Not 5 games in "2 months"
