Very bad news about JJ. From the sound of it we won't see him for a couple of months or even longer. Maybe never again in a Derby shirt. That really puts the pressure on Collins whose effort has not faltered. I know we don't all rate him but if he gets injured we will be in a proper pickle.

Cheltenham away was a low point where those of us who were there really started to doubt Warne. We've improved a lot but I still remember how cross we were at the determination to avoid the centre of the pitch that day whcih seemed barmy.

We don't seem too have much choice other than to play 3 in midfield unless he decides to partner one of NML or Barkhuizen with Collins and start the new chap. I wouldn't actually mind that too much to be honest. I don't think he will go for it but:

The JJ goal we saw at Port Vale looks like its a proper collecors piece! 😢

What was the announcement regarding JJ's injury?

Still think we need to consider Barks through the middle. An additional striker however is required.

Forget the injuries, every team gets them and just get on with it. If we can’t beat Cheltenham tomorrow then Warne deserves the boot.

Thanks Fin.

A quick acknowledgement to Jürgen Klopp who announced his surprise departure at the end of the season. I've really enjoyed watching his management style and the impact he's had on the club. Amazing to have competed toe to toe with Man City on the resources he's had.

Not surprised dealing with millennials has absolutely drained him and he needs to take a break from football. I wish him all the best.

Onto match day! Gotta get back to winning ways and I think we will. Everyone is scrapping for points now so I think there'll be plenty of twists at the top.

Midfield certainly requires freshening up a little so it's a question of will PW consider doing just that?

Wondering if the pace on the wings offers Sibley the opportunity to play his game better? Alternatively do you use him in a part exchange offer with Wednesday's Smith given his frustratingly inconsistent performances?

Oh yes and a very warm welcome to a ' true captain' Curtis Davies. I'm sure he'll get the reception he deserves.

Let's show him the love ( before and after the match )

Liverpool have spent over a billion pounds on transfer fees in the last decade, so when Klopp bleats about how impoverished they have been I don't have too much sympathy. I do like his teams though and you have to say he has done a fantastic job. Sometimes his behaviour on the side of the pitch and in interviews has been disgraceful but you could say the same about Guardiola and Arteta. There should be much tougher sanctions for their childish tantrums. Postecogluou is a model of restraint by comparison, both when watching the match and in interviews. He shows that it actually IS possible to be a good manager and to behave like a reasonable human being at the same time.

Maarnin' all.
Bit wary about this one after our recent disappointments.
Not seen it, but apparently Chelt are towards the top of the form table, so I think a lot may depend on the nature of our injuries

Yes I agree it might be a tough one. Maybe it might help us to have had a couple of iffy performances, at least we won't be complacent. We need to keep the ball on the floor and move it quickly.

Desi, one thing you can say about Sibs is that he's consistently available and seems to be fairly resilient to injuries (jinx). Wish we could say the same about Smith.
Anyway, if he's as poor as you suggest, what makes you thing S Wed would want him ?

And View, what makes you think you'll be allowed into the ground brandishing a wiper blade.
I think you need to rethink and call into Halfords post-game 🤔

Be interested to see how Cash plays today, or if he will be one of the 'injured'.
Perhaps a key to his performances was having Fozzy on his LHS ?

For me, a lot of today will be about the return of this man.
Still have his pic as screensaver on my phone. Be a while before someone comes along to replace him.

Anyone done the RSPB birdwatch this weekend? Had a blackcap and a sparrowhawk in the garden last week, so I bet the most exotic species in the next hour will be a pigeon.

The Blackcap is interesting. Usually a migrant summer species. We get continental birds in the winter with some overlap, but with warmer weather some birds are now over-wintering here. Probably been eaten by the Sparrowhawk though...........
