Was litterally about to post this. Has nothing to with Dallas that we're here mind.
Latest transfer ramblings
Linked to Forest CB Joe Worral given negotiations with Godfrey are stumbling somewhat. Sheff Utd want Worral on loan but Forest want 6 million, so its us or them.if rumours are to be believed.
Seen that one before (We tried) 😅
I think Worral would be a great signing and I'm surprised he's available as he's a real leader in defence like Rodon but these FFP rules seem to be causing quite a fallout for a lot of clubs even money bags Newcastle are rumoured to need to sell one of their assets to comply with these rules.
Anyway regarding the Worral rumour I hope it's true as that signing would free up Ampadu to return to midfield. Not sure how that affects Struiyk but then he seems to be out for at least 4 more weeks so we'll see....The RB/LB saga though does seem to look as though we're facing an uphill task in acquiring a new player in that position but again we'll see by Thursday at 11pm.
I know it's probably all going to collapse but nevertheless strong rumours we are very close to signing Godfrey from Everton who I didn't realise can play anywhere in the back 4 plus in midfield so no wonder Farke wants this player.

I wrote under the “Transfers” article that apparently Godfrey played a full 90 minutes for Everton last night - 0-0 against Fulham - so it looks like Dyche has scuppered that transfer. Nobody seems to want to join us!

we're leaving it late aren't we?
Batty be beside him self - still need another 598 in players yet to cover.
Kebab sat there with his copy of Sam Greenwoods bank statements, re-watching a free kick in October 1678.
Jonty in bits because there's no real owner trouble to speak of lately.
kin el, whats going on ?!
Nobody seems to want to join us!

I want to who these players are 🤷🏻♂️
I havent a clue
If the Godfrey deal is dead in the water then maybe we will cough up the £6 million that Forest want for Worral.
Tomorrow night by 11pm we will all find out.

Various names have been linked with us but none have come to fruition - such as Manuel Benson (Burnley), David Brooks (Bournemouth - gone to Southampton), Joe Worrall (Forest), Ben Davies (Tottenham) and Neco Williams.
So which of them have turned us down
Every year, or twice every year, we're linked to players that we never see, but then we see players we're not linked to, so players we're now being or have been linked to, are those links coming from the club?..
Or people here?..
Or the internetty clickbaiters?..
It should be noted that the now owners of Leeds United have a habit of not saying things until they're actually done, its not like we have Cellino doing the buying!..
And yes I know, with Cellino we'd more than likely have a complete new squad, but I wonder would it be better than now or worst!..
Hope we don't sign Worrall. Very average

it would be more italiany.
We have Cooper, Rodon, Struijk, Cresswell (who seems to be back in the fold). Plus Ampadu can play there. Id rather we go for a full back.

Probably for the Premier league but for the Championship I think he would strike a very good partnership with Rodon for the foreseeable which looks like being a minimum of 4 weeks with Struiyk sidelined.so I view this potential signing as strengthening our defence but tbh I now get the distinct impression that we're unlikely to sign anyone before this window shuts and will have to make do and hope we don't lose vital players like Rodon, Ampadu and Summerville as I think what we have instead of them in the squad is considerably weaker replacements.
We dont seem to do short term signings under Farke. I imagine Spence was brought in as a long term replacement for Ayling but didnt work out. We seem to sign players who could be here for the long haul.

January window in a nutshell
I dont see him as an improvement to Cooper or Cresswell. Rather we sign a full back. Godfrey id rather have if a cb
Godfrey definitely is way better and more versatile than Worral and I still hope we can sign him but all the indications are Dyche doesn't want to let him go now although the FFP rules may mean that decision isn't his to make and we get our man at the 11th hour.
Worral would ideally not cost us much ie a loan arrangement but Forest seem to want to offload him for £6million which thinking about it is probably £2 million more than what we should pay so if we get him for £4million I just think he would be better than Cooper but
I can see why this potential signing isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Interesting that Burnley don't have Charlie Taylor or Benson in their squad tonight with both players still being linked with us so maybe with James out for a few weeks by all accounts Farke's still interested in Benson
