Still wouldn't want to send my child to a school there.

Farcical to stage the tournament across three big countries, all surely capable of hosting the tournament alone.

Farcical to extend the tournament to 48 teams.

The powers that be will probably have found another way to ruin the game by then as well, like sin bins or 60-minute matches.

That said, it's still the World Cup

I'm glad that Azteca Stadium in Mexico City is hosting the opener. Mexico '86 was the first World Cup I remember, so it holds a special place for me personally.

I'd like to go but it's more likely I'll content myself with taking a week or two off work and watching on TV, trying to cope with the time difference.

Final at the 3rd largest stadium is a bit bizarre.

A mental amount of games in a few weeks. Going if Scotland can get there and hoping for a visit to the Azteca

The thinking is that the largest stadium in Dallas is well outside of the city so they went with Giants Stadium becuse, well NYC innit
