Man Utd on our tails I guess, but that’s a story for another day.

Yes but what about the cups?!

I'm kidding, I agree, not a bad end to the weekend. And with a winnable (on paper) game next weekend we can hopefully cement the spot.

I’d have preferred a draw because United are looking a little ominous at the moment.

I hate United. Absolute stinker of a club. All that money. All those mercenaries and they end up playing counter attacking football. Joke of a club. I really hope they choke and it’s still us and Villa fighting it out.

Could’ve done with a draw there but Villa losing isn’t the end of the world.

Does 5th get CL this year?

If only we could be more like Spurs, where the players play simply for the love of the club instead of lots of money.

Nh, your mercenaries won't budge because the club had to pay £2.5bn to have them

Utd is the cash cow of the ageing players

Shocking transfer policy, granted.

But it’s a pretty silly thing to say.

There's a lot more love in our club than yours mate. Yours looks toxic. It won't be long before the wheels come off again and those same mercenaries will be standing around saying "not me" when the blame game kicks in. You haven't got any leaders. It's painfully obvious and no scraping of results is gonna change that. You were largely outplayed by West Ham at Old Trafford and 3-0 wasn't a fair reflection of the game. You were seriously fortunate to win 4-3 at Wolves and on another day Villa would have been out of sight today. Mark my words, you won't achieve anything with this passive football. It's scandalous to even consider playing that way with the money you've spent. Shiiiiithouse club.

The 4-3 win against Wolves should have been really 2-8.

Wow, you’re really childish. Or upset. Which is it?

United is a fantastic club to support. Brilliant history, commitment to the youth system and some world class players over the years.

The current team is poorly recruited and needs sorting out, but that doesn’t make the club rotten.

I quite like Spurs to be honest. Generally the fans want football to be played the right way.

Not sure why you’re behaving the way you are.

The weird thing is, I used to have a soft spot for United under Fergie because the success felt organic. You had leaders like Robson, Bruce, Pallister, Ince and Cantona setting the standards for the class of 92 and those standards were held in the dressing room by thos same lads for about 20 years. Any money you spent felt like it was first earned on the pitch so the growth was justified. Then Fergie left and it was no longer about standards, youth and patience - it was about buying your way out of a mess, over and over again. It's the same reason why I've always disliked Chelsea over the years and more recently City. The more a club relies on money, the more artificial the success is. It's nothing personal against you, I guess I'm just a bit fed up with the big money clubs eventually bullying their way to the top. We're not in the title race but for the sake of football I'd rather see well run clubs like Liverpool or, dare I say it, Arsenal win the league than City, again. United feel like an extension of those big-spending bully types.

There speaks someone who never watched the game, first half wouldn’t have flattered us if we were 5 or 6-0 up

fridgeboy funny thing is most of our good players have been youth players since SAF left.

I think if you’re after some sort of moral high ground between ownership then you’ll end up empty handed.

The game has changed, sadly, and it’s just not a position anyone can take… Spurs included.

United have been badly run under the Glazers and the team is in a mess, but that doesn’t mean the club as a whole is to be despised.
